£1M for slew is briliant business especially if it means we can keep Quinn but it does seem strange selling 2 strikers if we've not got another lined up. For some reason I cant get a cheeky loan deal for BT out of my head but I think its just whishfull thinking

There wont be a cheeky loan deal since Rangers terminated his contract yesterday.

Released by Rangers yesterday. Now a free agent. A little birdie tells me he is signing today (but don't shoot the messenger!!)

Nothing on OS about Slew as they'll be waiting for the officials (Prem/FL/FA??) to confirm deal. They'll have been a bit busy overnight and I suspect we won't be top of the pile. Once they get round to looking at it we'll get to find out either way.... well after a bit while they think of an excuse for cocking it up.

If Beattie has had his contract terminated then might that mean he's got it paid off to some degree and make it a cheaper wage than we all might be thinking?

He'll sink because he's left too early. If we'd kept him for another 18months i think he could have been a massive player but now he'll get lobbed into a bottom half premiership clubs reserves!

Good deal for us in my opinion. I'm surprised there hasn't been more uproar as I thought everyone rated him barring me 3 or 4 of my mates.

If the Fleck and Hutton deal has gone through we've done well on deadline day. I know Slew probably wasn't on massive money, but hopefully we can put some of the transfer fee into the wage budget on top of what we've saved from Bogdanovic leaving.

I guess it's just wait and see for now...

If it does go into the wage budget, it might help us keep some of the better players during the loan window too, although we could do with splashing some cash on a striker now we've just lost two.

I don't think he's gone and I for one am glad, because he has got more pace than our other forwards, ok thats not saying a lot but he could come good and I hope he does.

It would be a shame to see him go. Great potential and given some time could be a real quality player, but as someone else mentioned if he moves not it would be far too early and likely to be levered in to a lower prem teams reserves.

Not a nice feeling being kept in the dark...gagh!
