Chrissy Wilder, he's one of our own!

Is EEL going to be perm or confirmation that Wolves aren't going to recall in Jan?

Almost certainly confirmation of full year loan, if (still not counting any chickens) we go up I'd expect we will sign him permanently in the summer.

Riley seems very likely to be one of them will be interesting to see if the other is a centre forward like Bogle or Gregory or someone from left field like Carruthers was.

Makes sense, loan until the end of the season then grab EEL on a free IF we go up.

Re the striker situation, I'm surprised McNulty has returned to us to be honest. Even more so if we're after another striker (which is needed). Wilder has indicated that he'll get a chance to impress but I'd imagine he'll be a make weight for Bogle or the Donny Rover s lad, if indeed we're after them.

Riley is one and the other seems like it may be Jay O'Shea (Biggs linked us to him & he has been left out of Chesterfield's lineup today) I think.

We will need a reserve right back / right wing back. Even more so with Brown having left.

That and Wilder's comments about McNulty suggest we won't be signing another striker.

I would find that a strange one if true, considering our current midfield and Corruthers?

Love listening to Wilder. He's a god amongst men. Tactically smart, friendly, professional and absolutely no shit. The man is without fault.

Totally agree.

Today I heard Danny Wilsons pre match interview on Radio Sheffield
And he was saying how he was so pleased to get a 0-0 with MK Dons because
They are such a fantastic side that play good football and a big club.

Then regards today's game with Bradford he went on about how Bradford are such a great side
And how difficult it would be playing in front of over 20,000 of their supporters.

It brought back memories of how over respectful Danny Wilson is regards bigging up the oppostion.

Totally different to Wilder who sets much higher standards, never fully satisfied, should always strive to do better And respects the oppostion but says if we focus and prepare properly then we should win.

No BS, no bigging himself up, just tells it how it is

its why Im so confident we are going up , the man demands everything from the squad
our biggest losing run from now will be one game as he will demand a response, thats if we lose one

Just cant see how McNulty will get any game time to impress. Maybe with 23s ?? Surely Sharp, Lavery, Done and Clarke are all ahead of him.

I think 2 young loanee wing backs, left and right will be the order of the day.

McNulty and Hussey to depart.

McNulty can't go anywhere, he's already played for two clubs this season.

EEL wouldn't be a free in the summer, sure I read Wolves have taken up his further year option.

It's easy to interview well when the team is already doing all your talking for you, but he does come across very well

I get the sense that a few messages were being sent to some of the team in that one as well

It avoids a recurrence of the situation where we are left with one fit striker and have to change our shape. Although Scougall did well in that game it wasn't ideal having no reserve strikers, even on the bench.

Who knows what could happen with injuries and suspensions and we may need all hands on deck at some point.

Don't forget Wilder was complimentary about the Lavary / McNulty partnership pre-season so he might even go straight for that in the absence of Sharp.

Also weakens Bradford which can't be a bad thing.

No he wasn't Lavery didn't play for us pre season.

Bradford now scoring, coincides with fckin MC Nulty off, send him back to Jockland

Loved his "steamroller on" comment.Nothing's going to get in the way of the juggernaut.

I think he commented on Lavery / McNulty partnership at Pompey last season

Correct, he said this after signing Lavary in pre-season:-

“I saw quite a bit of him (McNulty) for Portsmouth last season. He and Lavery upfront for a period were the best in the division,” said Wilder.

Listened to his post game interview and the one thing that stood out was

"we are close one one and we are close on two"

Not the greatest wording but suggests 3 incomings soon
