Can anyone seriously see Coutts playing a high intensity pressing game. We're lucky if he's able to keep up with the rest of them coming out of the tunnel pre match FFS.

To be fair, i'm still waiting for any of them to play a high intensity pressing game.

Scougals energy along with Done helped to raise the game for the whole team and the fans on Saturday. Although the end product wasn't there, their energy and determination showed through and no doubt showed some others what is required to get this club moving again. Something sadly lacking in recent times.

Fair point about the energy ...... regrettably the problem is .... and always has been end product with Scougs

He will never be effective in this Division unless we get a sudden influx of referees from the Premiership !!

The lack of goals from the middle will be worrying.

Think fleck, basham, coutts and scougal will struggle to break 10 goals for the season between them.

Wouldn't it be really nice though.............to actually have a decent midfield player, who also has some energy......not sacrificing being good at football for energy levels.

Basham and Coutts won't score or create goals and if Wilder utilises those as his midfield for the season he'll lose his record of not getting sacked anywhere.

Think it's universally agreed we need another CH.

Most people would say we need another midfielder.

That said I'm expecting no one as I predicted in May we'd still be pissing around on deadline day for signings and we all know how that goes.

Completely agree about the points being made on CM. For how long have we been saying we need strength and power in midfield. I dont think we have addressed that at all.

A mate of mine warned me about Bash at Blackpool - said he just seemed to be a nothing player. Is he- defensive middy? No. Attacking middy? No. So I agree with my mate. But he is a good pro who plays for moderate wages and tries his best - so he ticks a lot of boxes at BL.

Coutts is a footballer but not a tackler - and doesnt score. He plays like a player who is scared of getting a bad injury again (which you can understand).

So we are lacking in that department - and other teams will exploit it.
