Wonder if he did that after Bolton away, or the Villa game, or the Wigan game, or any of the other games when he went all defensive and his negative tactics fucked us up?

He had his day, not every game was a win and it wasn't all scintillating stuff. Some of you would do well to remember that.
It took the tosser 7 years to get the team promoted.

you know it's funny watching people get their knickers in a twist about Ched yet seem totally oblivious to the fact that we are directly connected to a regime that funds Wahhabism throughout the world with disastrous consequences
Evidence? And back it up with evidence that Wahhabism is responsible for terror.

Basham can cover, and it gets him away from midfield where he is completely ineffective

And when Fleck or Basham are injured?

We can't loan outside the windows. Basham is currently starting midfielder, cover for right back and CB. If we entered September with the same squad, a few injuries would somehow make us a lot worse.

This is the bit that caught my attention. Having to free up funds? We've not even spent all the Adams money yet. Have the board seriously only sanctioned the spending of circa £750k of the Adams money, then made him come and ask for the loan of Brayford to free up some more?
I refer to my post last week about the Adams money availability and planning. Surely if there was a chance we were going to sell him the manager and board would have known how much, if anything, would be made available afterwards so I'm guessing both new it was nil. If not agreed, both are as bad as each other.

Should have gone steaming in, shown them he cares, gone round every single player and criticised every single one of them and walked out and waited on the coach.
According to Kevin Gage on Twitter Bassett left the team on their own after games on occasions( so that's where he got it from). Basically leaves them to reflect and worry about their performance and Wilder then deals with it on the monday

Valid approach, but after months or years of managing a team. Not 4 games!

I thought he was going to break down at 6:20 when asked about new players coming in.

We were told there was 'funds available ' before we sold Adams.

Then when Adams was sold we were told 'he might get some of the money.

Now we are told he's had to get shut of Brayford to generate funds.

Someone somewhere is being economic with the truth.

Possibly but he needs to do something quick if we are to avoid a relegation battle and he will try the techniques used by some of the managers he has worked under I suppose.

I just hope it works

He would be foolish to slagging off the Board on the radio however we can all read between the lines.

I feel sorry for him at the moment but that doesn't stop me being disappointed with the way he is getting the team to perform

Reading between the lines , is Wilder being questioned on his judgement with signing players , who look no better than the dross we shipped out .

Also the judgement of the new scout Mitchell. The back 4 is never going to work and seems to get worst not better .

Could it be the bloke is just out of his depth . Let's hope he has the ear of young Travis more than the technical committee .

who pays ISIS troops??
evidence that Wahabbism is responsible for terror? the whole point is that it is a medieval religous sect that promotes terror as a form of control .. summary executions.. religious intolerance.
do some research and come back mate.

I think there has been a massive over reaction to what is happening down at BDTBL, whether you are a 'happy clapper' or a 'get the manager out' and its time we shut up and put up in support of the manager. So what we are 4 games in without a win, bottom of the league and struggling to find a definite way of playing, considering the amount of players in and out of the club and the new management, is it any wonder ? Why on earth would anyone even think it would be any different ? Until the team gel and CW gets them playing the type of football that suits, we will struggle, fact. It's 4 games in out of 46 and while some people will be worried, good god it's still too early to define this as a relegation season. CW was quite right not to go steaming in with the players after the match yesterday and to give them time to reflect on their own performance will have more of an effect than telling them how shit they were. Yes CW is worried that some of the players are struggling to cope as he said but this is where he earns his money by building the confidence and getting the team performing. I don't for one minute subscribe to the idea that he can't hack it in this division because there isn't much difference between League 1 and 2 if the truth be told. Yes the interview was painful to listen to but the gaps in answering were due to not wanting to say something he would regret as he wears his heart on his sleeve when it comes to this club. Let him get on with his job and we should support and back him to the hilt, we have no alternative and to do otherwise would harm the club, manager and players more than we could imagine. Until such time that things change we have to give full support to CW and stop this continual guessing 'will he, won't he' in everything he deals with, let him do his job.

Contrast the way he spoke about George Long with the hesitation when he starts to explain the Brayford loan and his unconvincing agreement that the money saved will result in new players. It does seem clear to me that Brayford had to go if Wilder wants to strengthen MF and CB.

"We believed that we needed to errr take John,, errr,,,we believe we need to freshen it up a little bit and maybe to release some money to errr maybe put elsewhere and strengthen the squad and I thought Kieron Freeman was outstanding today and errr you know he's not played a lot of football and for him to come here and play like he did we had confidence in Kieron, that could step in so there was a situation where Nigel Clough had spoke to me previously about him and I just thought it was the best decision. Best decision for John, best decision maybe for us, maybe best decision financially as well to do that. I've got no regrets on that, no regrets on that and errr. Kieron came in and will only get better, young player errr and one that will errr, hopefully kick on."

in answer to the question about Brayford being off the wage bill freeing funds for new players "yep, yep it could do" and then he diverts into saying, repeatedly, it was his decision for Brayford to go.

The question not asked was how someone transfer-listed from day 1 and deemed not part of the group was suddenly someone "underneath" who could step in and do a good job. Nor was he asked whether the reason for the difficulties in landing players and for Brayford going is because of financial constraints and pressure from the Chief Exec and the Board to cut the wage bill, but it was RS asking the questions.

We've had a few who wouldn't admit to it

Some have spent millions on players in the last weeks of a season to save us from relegation and never played them.
Personality clashes..............No due diligence there then......We really have employed some crap.
Then we sack a manager who was on the brink of the playoffs........What joined up thinking is that.
Problems always start from the very top, and with us they stay there.

It took the tosser 7 years to get the team promoted.

That's what happens when you give a manager time.

What is happening to us now is what happens whent you don't

I'm one of them that defends fans that boo when we're shit. Don't have a problem with anybody letting George Long know he's fucked up. It doesn't keep me awake at night if the naughty boys shout and swear at the players when they aren't doing it but lorks a fucking lordy, I've never seen such an overreaction.

It's not Wilders fault he inherited a crap squad, he was nowhere near the club when big nose got us relegated, or when Robson......well, fuck knows what Robson did. Blackwell, Speed, Adams etc. again, nowt to do with Wilder.

He came to manage the club he loves, the one that's currently in division 3 and he'll work his bollocks off to make us better. He doesn't have a magic wand, he has a McCabe pulling the purse strings and we know how that goes so give him a break.

Why didn't he go in the changing room? He's a fan as well as the manager, and if the fuckers let me down like they did him I'd probably chin one of the lightweight twats, maybe he felt the same.

Some of you bang on about him being scared to face the players? Half of you lot would be scared to face him and open your gob, but you're all fucking bluff and bluster on here.

I'm beginning to change my mind, ALWAYS banged on about us being a bunch of hard cases, taking no shit, looks like we're getting a MASSIVE fanny rating now 'cos half of you are acting like c***s.
good effort :)
