Serious question here. Of our next 5 league games, where do you see our first point/s coming?

Leeds
Arsenal
Fulham
Liverpool
Man City
Chelsea
I can see at least a point v Leeds and 3 v Fulham. There are 2 games that are free hits and absolutely no idea v Chelsea.

If you was Prince, and you'd been talked into siging Bogle, Lowe for 10-15m, and Ramsdale for 18.5m why would you want to give him another 20m+ to sign a striker?

Bogle and Lowe can't get in the side

Ramsdale has had a very shakey start. I don't understand why Wilder has a right to just demand money for players when, we've wasted so much money on other areas of the pitch that we obviously didn't need. If we needed Lowe and Bogle, why haven't they been involved in the 2 games? Lowe was a stand out against Burnley on Thursday.

It doesn't sit right with me.

Have you ever considered "supporting" United? We can all see we're having a tough time. Wilder and the team need our encouragement more than ever in these tough times not folk sticking the boot in! Would hate to be with you in the trenches! Villa had Matty Cash and Olli Watkins playing for them today. 2 players Wilder would have loved to have signed but we havent got the money to compete for their signatures. Thats the realty.
Tonight with 10 men we have done magnificently to only lose by one goal and it could/should have been a draw if We'd converted the pen. Good effort tonight after the sending off which I would say no other team would ever have been punished with! What a crap decision that was!

Now you're moving the goalposts. Pretty sure Burnley are a premier league team anyhow. Just checked: they are

You replied to a poster saying we're the only team in the league to not have scored a goal. You replied to that saying we scored against Burnley in the cup. How am I moving the goalposts? Your point is invalid, because it wasn't a PL game, the table still has 0 next to goals scored on our name.

4pts from 8 games then in your opinion. With 4pts we'll be rooted to the bottom of the table. But I'm sure nobody at the club will still be able to be criticized.

Oh, it's him again.

Starts now. An amazing 3 years has now come to a close and Wilder will have the biggest test of his career now, everything's great when your winning games, the hardest thing to recover from is a run of losses, tipped to be good enough for the big clubs, time to prove himself on the otherside of the coin now.

6 competetive games lost in a row, no goals scored this season in the league, its gonna be a long season.

No, this isn't a slating Wilder thread, or a kneejerk reaction either. What he's done is remarkable, i really hope he has what it takes to get us out of this hole. I'm sure he does.

I'd start with 1 goal in the last 6 games, no clean sheets and no points.

We clearly are missing talent in the final 3rd, we was last season but the gritty wins covered that up for the most part.

We really need to roll the dice or we can't complain if we get sucked down back to the championship.

Creating chances isn't a problem even with this formation. Its fucking finishing them thats the problem.

I do support the club. If I didn't I wouldn't care to post, would I?

So many of our players out of form and running at 90% at best.

Valiant effort with much to admire in terms of resilience, but we are lacking that last little bit at the top and bottom of the pitch.

Everyone needs to find those marginal gains and pretty darn quickly !!

And I’ll include the management team in that as well.

UTB

Careful, you can't say anything bad about the team or management! Its forbidden!!

A minimum of 4 points from a very difficult start.

I’m with all the others who have mentioned that they wouldn’t want to be with you in the trenches. I wouldn’t want you anywhere near me in a tough situation.

It's arrant semantic bollocks. Not worth the bandwidth it used.

Why because I'm being realistic? 4pts from 8 games is more than a tough situation. Those averages would see us down by January.

Nevermind what that would to do confidence in the team and morale...

This was my worry that we’d start this season like finish the last. We are one team that really misses our fans ( yes know this was an away game but still true nonetheless). We look lethargic and give ball away too easily. But we are 2 games in and have shot ourselves in the foot in both. Still hard to judge until we have a few proper games without an early setback, that kills the game. i go back to when Wilderand Killy joined us and the doom after the first 4 games, so I say give the guys some leeway to sort it out and see situation in next few games. I like to believe I know a lot about football but I talk a good game - down the pub but I reckon our management team know a bit more than me though 😂 so let’s trust it will come good

Only an idiot of a penalty taker, hits a ball either side of a goalkeeper at his natural falling height.

There are many ways to take a penalty - Lunstrams was the only way (left or right) not to put them.

UTB

You don’t think it was a good save?

I'm hoping tonight twists Abdullahs arm to burn some cash on forwards/creative talent

Wilder may also want to get the beers in on the bus home and think of a new cunning plan, we look rumbled and pedestrian now.
What’s disappointing me the most is it’s not as if our style has been found out, we’ve largely abandoned what got us here. There’s no way we would have been promoted deploying the tactics we have in the last 6 games. Nobody can deny there’s been a complete overhaul of our style, which is making us completely impotent going forward.

More or less rational OP, making a valid and eminently discussable point about big test ahead for Wilder/club, stressing “this isn’t a slating Wilder thread” ... followed by 22 (TWENTY TWO!) posts, and counting, sticking the boot in, in a tone redolent of a face even more like a slapped arse than JL7’s.

Great stuff. Congratulations. Exactly what we all need tonight.

Just backing up my point with pure facts. That's a better discussion than some idiot coming on with a post with no substance right?

Serious question here. Of our next 5 league games, where do you see our first point/s coming? and realistically how many do you think we will get out of our next 6?

Leeds
Arsenal
Fulham
Liverpool
Man City
Chelsea

I say we'll get 1 maybe 3 against Fulham, out of our first 8 games, would your opinion then still be the same as now?
Serious question do you want us to fail/ go down? We have played 2 games out of 38 game season

I agree somewhat, our strikers aren't good enough but the quality in the final 3rd isn't either. We need Buendia and 2 strikers.

Likewise, I need Charlize Theron sucking my didgeridoo, but I can't see it happening tbh. :)

We were all told last season it would be like this and we had a stormer of a season.
Let’s all relax and enjoy being in the premier league,I’m sure their will be ups and downs all season, but we will come out of this A stronger team.

I'm not getting involved in the petty squabbling but in fairness I do think there is some reasonable evidence to be concerned about this season.

Spot on. There is no nuance in discussion anymore and it gets personal.

I thought we'd really struggle last season and stated so, delighted to be proved wrong though feel the same again and also won't get involved in the bickering on here.
