Here's a question that could be on "The 1%"

Here a sequence of numbers, what's the next number?

2-5-3-5-1-5-1-6-2- ?

The problem is 2 fold

We don’t have the players to see out a game, any team 3-1 up at home should hold the lead

However this is compounded by CW making the same shit decisions - if he brings Brooks on, minimum he covers ground, Norwood hasn’t the athleticism, and at least CW would say he didn’t make the same mistake as last time by bringing on Norlegs

We need a reset of the club in the summer, hopefully this starts with PA, squad overhaul and a new manager with fresh ideas.

After his decision on subs chucked it away v Bournemouth , the daft bastard did exactly the same thing today.
This season has been a slow suicide - we could have stayed up with the points we have thrown away late in games with such lack of nouse (professionalism) by managers & players alike.

I don’t think… he is a winger.

Watch the U23s and he’s a left winger mate.
Bladezz to be fair you are right he is listed as a winger. However Wilder has now twice brought Norwood on at the end of a game and we have conceded 3 goals and dripped 4 points subsequent to that decision

Now it may not be Norwoods fault but why not bring the athletic youngster on to try and close it our rather than the pointing traffic cone?

Which is a Norwood issue. Wilder can’t physically move players on the pitch. Brooks wouldn’t have been the right choice. If you were a manager in that situation and you’ve got people tiring you’d turn to experience which he did.
It's a Wilder issue for putting him on. Everyone can see what's going to happen except Wilder it seems.

Bringing on a winger in the 90th minute in central midfield to be a holding midfielder would have been absolutly ridiculous.

Unfortunately what you describe are the sum total of just not being good enough.

What a shit state we are in - club will never part with Wilder before summer window, yet he's already shown his arse with Gbric & Holgate and costly crazy subs late in games to chuck points.
So the biggest summer clearout & reset is down to someone who's lost the plot in recent years.
Someone who thinks Norwood is gonna come on from cold and run around blocking & tackling to prevent an equaliser.
What a chump.

You’d rather a winger play holding midfield 😂

And Brooks might be fitter and faster, but seen nothing from him defensively or positionally to say he was a better option.
End
Brooks is a good player with a good future for sure. But he’s not a holding midfielder 😂

Does anyone remember Brooks and Hackford coming on against Forest to help us see it out?

They pressed at the wrong time because they didn't know what they were doing and it cost us a goal.

Not defending Norwood, but anyone would think Brooks was an established league footballer reading this thread.

If people think being mobile is the solution to seeing out football games, they don't get it.

The consistent failure to close out games under different managers would suggest it's more of an issue with the players.

We don't have the quality to control games at this level so we have to compete through our energy/effort but we have limited options off the bench. As players tire and we have to make poor subs we invite pressure that we can't withstand.

Exactly this.

But your trying to defend against people who have an agenda and look for blame.

I'd rather he didn't tinker with a winning team but if he must then for goodness sake don't take off McB who can defend our box , don't take off Osborne who's done well , don't put on Trusty who's shit at LB , don't put on Norwood who isn't mobile and do put on Brooks who can actually run like a footballer , whatever position you think he normally plays.
