Football teams are continually evolving with players leaving, getting old and new players coming in
CW should be given more time, chopping and changing managers all the time is never really the answer
As said many times, football at the moment is like pre season friendlies with no fans in the ground, I am struggling to watch us and any games at the moment with any real enjoyment

For me, Wilder's been disappointing this season. He's not done enough to stop this rot. He's continuously just blamed his players and not taken on any responsibility himself. The system has clearly been broken for a while & we seem to be getting worse as the season goes on.

I'm not for sacking him... yet. But I keep setting myself hypothetical "if we lose the next 2, 3, 4, 5 games" type deadlines and he keeps exceeding them.

The truth is, if we still haven't won a game by 2021 then I think he will have to go. I love him to bits, but this can't continue. These loss margins will soon start increasing once it becomes obvious it's too late for us and at that point, when our heart has gone, his position will become untenable. It will be a sad end, but an inevitable one if we don't turn this around shaprish - which I don't see happening.

He hasn’t just blamed the players at all! listen to the radio Sheffield interview from yesterday he said he hasn’t done his job good enough and the players haven’t. He has also continually said the book stops with him. Stop making things up to try and suit your argument!

I actually think yesterday he came across far better than he has done. There was no complaining about how hard the EPL is and other teams having better players etc. He told it straight "This season I haven't been good enough in my job and neither have the players". He also showed a bit of fire saying we can go on a winning run, others have done it so we can too.

I doubt very much that even 1% of the fan base want him out.

We often over react to small minorities. 50 people booing in a crowd of 20 or 30,000 gets taken out all proportion and since we've had social media it's even worse.

We all love Roy's Views From but look how some people react to a handful of comments and then attribute them to an entire fan base.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion on the manager and his performance this season. We can all find criticism even if you don't wish to share it, but that doesn't automatically mean you want a change.

The overwhelming majority of fans are behind him, a few are questioning him, and an even smaller few have decided a change may be needed. Although I'm yet to see a remotely credible alternative suggested.

I've questioned him this season but when the anger & frustration dies down you realise he's the only man for us. Granted I still feel he's wasted money but he'll learn from that, only the fare weather fans will want him out. If he keeps us up it'll be the most amazing achievement by any manager ever for me.

You have to remember most of the players CW signed this summer weren't his number one targets, they were well down his list, as other teams, Villa in particular, came in and out bid us.

The main two he got in were Ramsdale and Brewster, with the two Derby lads and Burke being likely to be squad players. For the money he had to spend who would you have brought in instead? I guess in hindsight there's a good argument we could have tried harder to get Henderson back for another season.

I think he will have seen or been told about the support he has received over the past week. He probably thought the fans would turn. I am actually proud of the majority reaction to this situation, it’s so easy to just say sack the manager. Most people can see the bigger picture, realise we are actually much further forward than we should actually be and know that this is the right man to keep trying to take us forward.
His interview last week and the pictures of him virtually on his knees should be enough for people to say there is no better man than the man who absolutely loves this club to carry on the magnificent job he has already done.

I don’t want Wilder out either. Love the bloke, and I’m not convinced we’d end up with anyone better if he did get the tin tack. But, and I’m not having a go at SUFC Handsworth here, it’s this constant desire to endlessly defend Wilder that gIves me the shits. The blind faith. The constant #InWilderWeTrust. The howls of protest at the mere hint of any criticism.

He’s a great manager, yes, probably. Is he great at the moment? No. Was it the best transfer window ever? No. Has he made significant mistakes in the transfer market? Yes. Is he often poor at substitutions? Yes. Has he given first team contracts to too many has-beens and never-will-bes? Yes.

I repeat, I love the guy, and I’m happy he stays as our manager. But he is not perfect, he gets stuff wrong, and those of us who point it out are not pigs, or slashers, or smaller Blades.

When I was younger I had similar impatience with managers and would happily want them sacked. Now I'm older I realise that's not always the answer.

Ah, glad you don't remember or you are too young to remember Mickey Adams.

A passionate Blade who was managing us with relegation form who should have been sacked earlier than he was. No-one doubted his commitment to the cause and no-one wanted him to fail but ultimately he was not taking the club in the right direction so had to leave.

Not knocking your viewpoint. In his interview today he said that he had worked with other systems and formations in the past but considers the current setup is the best for the set of players at his disposal. I think we have to accept he knows the players and their capabilities better than we do. Presumably if it was as straightforward as changing formation, he would have done it already. He didn’t hang around changing from a back four when we were in league one, which indicates he is not tied to a particular way of playing. I think the issue is we don’t have the personnel to play effectively in a different system and have woefully few options in midfield.

Then surely that's a failure on his part, not to have a workable plan B. We are too predicable in our line up, sometimes you need to surprise the opposition that's why training and pre match work is kept quiet.

Micky Adams, as I remember it was the third manager that season, {forth if you include John Carver, acting manager for 3 games,) after Gary Speed and Kevin Blackwell, in a season as frustrating as this one.
It felt like no matter what the club or managers did we were doomed,
key players either out injured or out of form and even the replacements they brought in going down with long term injuries after a few games

Given there’d be a natural mixture of snorters and social inadequates making up most of the remaining 5%, I’d say that’s fabulous backing.

5 years ago he'd never managed above league 2, then one season in League 1 and then a couple in Championship and now PL.
To expect him and the scouting team to then be spot on each transfer window is a bit harsh on them.
The likes of Moyes and Bruce despite years of PL experience still have plenty of dud signings.
