"insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."
For me, Wilder's been disappointing this season. He's not done enough to stop this rot. He's continuously just blamed his players and not taken on any responsibility himself.
I'm not for sacking him... yet. But I keep setting myself hypothetical deadlines and he keeps exceeding them.
The truth is, if we still haven't won a game by 2021 then I think he has to go. Love him to bits, but this can't continue.
Exactly.
By the OP logic we should never have sacked Mickey Adams.
8lade, you must be ancient. It was demolished in 1815!!Whenever I see Chris laugh it reminds me of a picture of an inmate of Bedlam I saw as a youth.
Hello NDR this is 8lade, read again over.8lade, you must be ancient. It was demolished in 1815!!![]()
How can you want this guy out?
Not knocking your viewpoint. In his interview today he said that he had worked with other systems and formations in the past but considers the current setup is the best for the set of players at his disposal. I think we have to accept he knows the players and their capabilities better than we do. Presumably if it was as straightforward as changing formation, he would have done it already. He didn’t hang around changing from a back four when we were in league one, which indicates he is not tied to a particular way of playing. I think the issue is we don’t have the personnel to play effectively in a different system and have woefully few options in midfield."insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."

I'm not for sacking him... yet. But I keep setting myself hypothetical "if we lose the next 2, 3, 4, 5 games" type deadlines and he keeps exceeding them.
The truth is, if we still haven't won a game by 2021 then I think he will have to go. I love him to bits, but this can't continue. These loss margins will soon start increasing once it becomes obvious it's too late for us and at that point, when our heart has gone, his position will become untenable. It will be a sad end, but an inevitable one if we don't turn this around shaprish - which I don't see happening.

I don't care anymore, if it's back to the Championship next season then so be it. I will be there whatever division we are in, once we are all allowed back in after this Pandemic is finally over. Tbf with this manager and squad of players we should come straight back up. Hopefully be allowed back in before end of this season to see us play live Prem football again before the inevitable happens. Then back to playing the likes of Middlesbrough again next season.
Shit show right from start. Completely had enough of this season. If we go down with one point I'd still keep CW as manager. This season is a joke, write-off season from the start with no fans in. It's played right into the hands of the premier league primadonnas, where there's no pressure on them in what is nothing more than glorified training games. On the United side of the fence, everything about our team is the players working as a team and feeding off the fans, those tackles and challenges with 30K Blades backing them are much more effective. All the umph the team had last season, much of it was down to the backing from the stands.
If we go down, the best man to take us back up is here already.
This season has been a joke, a write-off from the start with no fans in. This isn't football as we know it and won't be until the fans are back. Whatever division I will be there next season.Me neither- talking about next season in the Championship isn’t code for sacking him. I think we’ll be fine next season, just don’t want this one to kill the magic
