Outgoing? Wilder to Celtic?

Not seen any source of value but it makes total sense. Wilder and PA fall out... Wilder says he's going to leave or PA says he'll sack him . Compensation on a 4 year deal becomes an issue. The two can't iron out differences to resolve the issues. Celtic swoop in and agree to pay x amount for Wilder, Ak and backroom staff making the best out of a bad situation from a purely financial aspect. Would explain the ridiculously long delay in an announcement being made.
 
Or he has known about Celtic for a while and has decided to become grumpy Chris over the last few weeks hoping his public outrage at his employers forced a sacking and he gets all his cash. He then walks into Celtic. Whatever the truth rhe simple fact is he doesn't want to be here. Win a few titles and back to Prem on bigger job. I was a huge Wilder fan but honestly the last few weeks stink and it’s everyone’s fault bar his. Good luck Chris and I have loved the last few years. This year and the last two months have been disgraceful on every level.
 

Former Rangers and Scotland star Ally McCoist has suggested that ex-Sheffield United Chris Wilder won't be named as Celtic's next manager at the end of the season, despite being the bookies' current favourite to land the job​

When asked by talkSPORT Breakfast Show host Alan Brazil whether he believed Wilder would be given the vacant position at Celtic, McCoist claimed: "I never even thought about that, mate... you've thrown that one at me! No, I don't think so.
“I tell you why, because I think Celtic are probably further down the line with somebody prior to Chris Wilder losing his job at Sheffield United.”

Who knows where he’ll end up I myself thought he was going to Celtic he may well go but he could even go to WBA when Sam goes anything can happen.

WBA was a previous rumour that I'd heard previously although they too are heading down this season, have just blasted £10m on loans and therefore I'd be surprised if they're able to offer the sort of budget likely to appeal to CW
 
As I've said on another thread, these past 7 months will have significantly damaged Wilder's reputation.

Top end sport has a universal 'what have done lately' mentality. Do owners want to gamble on a chap who's presided over the 2nd worst PL finish in history whilst bad mouthing his owners in the press??

Conversely, if I was an owner of a championship club, I'd be sat in his front garden firing pound notes through his letterbox!!!
 
By all accounts West Brom and Big Sam have a break clause in his contract in the event of relegation.

Could seriously see CW ending up there in the summer if Big Sam decides he doesn't fancy The Championship and who could blame him.

They haven't spent a fortune, have parachute payments like us and no need to relocate from his brand new house.

Would be the icing on the cake for me. We employ some no mark and end up mid table or worse whilst CW takes West Brom straight back up sticking 2 fingers up at the board in the process.

West Brom spend more in the summer than we did in 2019 (Pereira £8.25m, Diagana £18m, Grant £15m, Robinson £4m). They also chucked a not inconsiderable sum at loans in January and have a bigger wage bill than we do. Our budget for next season will be similar or greater than theirs.

And the Daily Star now suggest Wilder will be the man to take them forward
 
I was just going to post the same Belvedere it's obvious he'll not be out long but, somehow I wonder could he end up at Newcastle? He will let's say be a man with a few options open to him I think, hard to say for final where he'll end up.

Bloke who I work with is mates with someone on coaching staff, and he said that West Brom approached United for Wilder before they got Allardyce last year, so this would make sense.

Steve Brown, who has been close mates with CW since the days of Bradway FC, has also repeatedly eluded to this happening on Twitter so I wouldn't be surprised at all.

I bet Callum Robinson can't wait! :)
