Wilder sums today up

I can't understand how people say the pitch isn't an excuse for how we played to be honest

Boot it? Sounds a lot like hoof it.

What will Pinchy have to say about this!

That pitch is a disgrace. It's even worse than it looks. It completely dictated how the game was played and they should be fined for it. And I'm not saying that because we've not won. People pay good money to watch football and be entertained. It is unacceptable for a professional club to have such an atrocious playing surface.

S2 language which I understand and respect. 10 year contract please.

No manager in this day and age is worth a 10 year contract . Been down this road before .

If he was Christian Wilderi then yep . No Premiership club would go for him , he ain't high profile enough and not a spring chicken any more . Where is that other 10 year contract must have man Justin Edingburgh .

Best for him and us is Sheffield United Football Club.

10 years is a nice round figure. I'd settle for 7/8 years I suppose.:) 5 would be good too;)

Take the thrust of the idea though; maybe?! I never intend to be taken too literally, don't you know that by now? I'm a 'blue sky' man and sometimes sow seeds, often on stoney ground on here mind you.

FFS the pitch was the same for both teams. Like ours is. If our far superior players can't work a way to beat relegation fodder don't trot out excuses.
No-one says every pitch has to be the same size and shape, same quality and every team has to play the same way.
Suck it the fuck up FFS.

I'm sure those poor third world peasants in whatever country you're using a facility most of them could only dream of would love you to sow some seeds so they could eat.

I'm home sean, but believe me there are fewer sad souls over there than in this country, far fewer miserable faces and anger, more dignity frankly.

Real pleasure to behold.

One thing we can all agree on . Wilder and Knill do require to be rewarded financially , as turning us around from last season , in a very short period of time borders on a miracle of top man management .

We need to pay the football management team top dollar to keep them happy and motivated . Also as money is not be all and end all , let Wilder run every aspect of the club , IMO Wenger style . Every thing else will fall into place with a rolling contract .

Also it appears there is tremendous respect between Wilder and McCabe , the two most important and powerful men in the club.

Love Chris, he says it how it is. We were shit and he's not dressed it up.

Booting it better than them 2nd half could have won us a very important point come the end of season.

weve drawn 2 games recently in greater manchester both on dire surfaces ,
bolton lost at rochdale hopefully theyll get the same outcome on oldham's homage to the Somme battlefield
Sadly it will suit Bolton far more than us.

What a ridiculous arguement ,it wasn't football ,it wasn't suited to footballers ,it wasn't suited to football. It wasn't a case of anybody worked anything out it was just a lottery.

A point will do from that shithole

I'm torn on this. I'm not sure it's a bad enough surface to have stopped us playing our game and by all accounts when Coutts came on we suddenly started playing. So how much of a hindrance was it really?

If Coutts plays on that, gets injured? We would be screaming going he's our focal point of us passing it why risk him?

The game is done with, I know a forum is for discussion, but this once can the negative people just be a little more positive. We're close to promotion!!

I'm not torn on this at all, the pitch that Cyprus Blade shows would have an affect (with a disclaimer that I was not at the match).

Football is a game of small margins. Our players have a certain style of play that has worked to date this season. If we were playing our normal passing game on that pitch, how many more bobbles would there be? Incomplete passes as it slows in the mud? Of course professional players should be able to play on any surface, but when it's such a rare occurrence then they will not be attuned to it. Oldham are poor, but no mugs.

I think we got it spot on yesterday. Another point gained.
