He’s not any sort of enemy to me. He represents the past. I’m much more interested in the here and now. That’s all that matters unless you support Wednesday where the past is something to cling to like a life raft.

So what I got from that, is that he represents the past and we MUST move on to the new era.

That’s very easy. You have said that I have never applauded any of Wilder’s achievements on this forum. You’ve made that up.

You may, or may not have applauded him. It may come as a bit of a surprise to you, but stupidly, I don't commit all of your wonderful posts to memory.

I mentioned Aldous Huxley in my post, so no points there for you. Some might insist on a deduction for copying mine and and not acknowleding the source, but I'm not like that.

As I said, I do not have a fucking Scooby what you've said about Wilder in the past, so quite how I'm expected to know everything you've espuosed, I don't know. You post a lot, all of it wise words I'm sure, but to be honest I really can't be arsed. How many of my old posts have you read?

You are a bright bloke (not a piss take), but this 'we must move on' stuff leaves me cold. Some of us can still savour the past and hope we have a future too .
Sadly, we seem to have lapsed into some 1984" world of 'RS good, CW bad' shite, where everyone who mentions Wilder is called a bedwetter.

My frustration yesterday was that it felt like every other comment was a comparison with him, both positive and negative. I'm not sure it's either helpful or healthy. We need to move on.

People can mention who they like, it's football

United got away with some horrendous home performances last season. Pompey shoukd have scored 4 in the first half, missed 2 open goals, QPR didn't let United have a kick 2nd half. But they rode their luck and got something.

Got punished 4 times, of which it was 2 very, very good goals and 2 horrendous errors. Everything after 1-4 was just waiting for the final whistle.

If it doesn't get better, he'll get fired. If United had regularly played like Pompey at home over all of last season, Wilder woukd too.

He gets a chance to rectify things, let's see how it goes
