We’ll see. Windows not closed yet, we’re 2/3 players short so need 2/3 in. Whereas if things are as bad as Wilders face suggests it is we might see 2/3 more going out.

My guess is we will be up for sale within a few months as soon as we know if EFL are going to take action. That action might be the EFL and IFR forcing owners to sell if as I understand it is within their power.

Our season is about avoiding religation.

Well we don't really know that how complicated it is. Or what our current overlords are thinking at all.

The reality now is that whilst at the start of the summer we had an ok squad which needed some additions, we were always going to sell some, but we needed to wheel and deal to keep us in that midtable/ top 8 position.

We’ve done very little business other than replace Brooks with a loan and bring in Phillips after renewing Reidewalde to a very solid centre mid.

We need to do some more business before the close and we need many of last seasons underperformers to be on top of their hame

That’s how I read it. Leicester still need to shift him, they just want the best deal so will hold out til the bitter end to get it.

I’ve just read posts referring to us as ‘underdogs’.

Some of our supporters buy into this nonsense and are happy now we’re back to being ‘little old Sheffield United’ again.

We’ll still have one of the higher wage budgets in the league and have players that some teams would love to have in their squad.

We’re in this position because we have incompetent owners, not because we’re underdogs in any way.
