You were predicting that we'd sell Brooks in this transfer window. That hasn't happened and you seem to have gone really quiet on that topic.

The players and their agents hold too much power and something should be done to deal with the problem.
He's been forced to say that by McCabe, pointing a revolver at his temple.
All our bids were decided by McCabe. They were deliberately at a gross undervalue (albeit not a single club in the entire world was prepared to pay more) so as to ensure that we did not have to actually spend anything (the ten players we've brought in this window were free gifts from other clubs and have agreed to waive any wage or salary whatever).
Wilder is a complete patsy who is going along with all this whilst telling lie after lie to the fans in order to cover up his pivotal part in this bizarre and thoroughly dishonest charade.
You'd think they'd just make no offers at all, rather than conducting a transparent publicity stunt that our intellectual fans see through anyway. What's the point? It would save a great deal of time and trouble all round.
They do. The PFA provide that service for free, or a small fee, if they want it. Some of them don't even use agents: James Milner was a prominent example of that.
But players are told by agents they can get better deals from the PFA. And they are often right, I am sure.
I would rather have agents in the game than have young players being poorly advised and, in some cases, flat out misled on a regular basis.
Personally, I would consider hiring a solicitor who negotiates commercial or employment contracts. Much cheaper and you get someone who will fight your corner.
Agents are massively important for the majority of players.
Most players (sorry to say) aren't that bright, for whatever reason. For these players, someone with negotiating experience, knowledge of contract law and confidence is the difference between getting a good and bad deal.
The problem isn't agents, it's bad agents.
Use a solicitor and everything will slow to a standstill. They are in the majority as crooked as anyone!
Agents only have the power given to them by their clients.
I think the players are right to be powerful and make a big piece of the pie - they're the ones we're coming to watch
Nonsense
Nope.
They get paid for time. As soon as they realise the money to be made they would milk it for all its got, the same as agents.
Politicians....legal profession. Up there as the least trustworthy people you can have and no surprise so many politicians have a legal background.
The PFA already fulfills all of those roles, without fucking clubs over and causing strife.
You don't know what you're talking about.
Agents are about networking, being able to contact clubs and broker deals.
You are right, but if you were in court, would you want your own lawyer?
Not all agents fuck clubs over and cause strife.
Hatred of McCabe mainly plus intense dislike of any other member of the Board![]()
Really? And you do?
Not going to get into a debate over who knows more..:that's my learned opinion. You won't change it.
CWs comments along the lines of people wouldn't believe what's happened to stop us getting the deals done and it being nothing to do with anything at our club are intriguing. I hope he tells us exactly what's happened.Just seen the interview. Clearly the agents have scuppered the deals with no thought for their players.
But they're not really pushing the boat out to obtain maximum benefit for THEIR client. The PFA already fulfills all of those roles, without fucking clubs over and causing strife.
But it's not court, it's a negotiation with your employer. In which case you'd have a representative from a recognised trade union instead of some spiv twat on the make.
Agents are fucking twats.
I think we can all agree on that.
CW offered to do an interview about his dealings on Deadline Day, I would be really interested to hear that!CWs comments along the lines of people wouldn't believe what's happened to stop us getting the deals done and it being nothing to do with anything at our club are intriguing. I hope he tells us exactly what's happened.
I can't
Yes, I know a lot about solicitors and how they charge and bill. I suspect more than you do. The statement that a majority of solicitors are crooked is ill informed at best and downright ignorant at worst.
As you say, you won't change your opinion. It's easier to make sweeping statements based on nothing. Best leave it there.
If the agentsAgents' interests seem to come well before the players' nowadays.
It must be beyond infuriating dealing with them.
Did Sinclair end up going to Norwich? I believe Wilder is not one for covering situation up and saying it how it is - clearly the united board had sanctioned another 3 players but it fell through due to outside influences - anyone slagging the board and Mcabe need to remember this and the other business done in this window. All we can do is speculate what happened.
The Cole deal appeared to break down because Fleetwood upped their asking price to £1m.....Cole was evidently unhappy and wanted to come...is this an agent at work or the selling club playing hardball?
With regards to Quina then this maybe more about playing time rather than an agent holding out for more money....premier league teams send out players on loan for one main reason, to get them playing football, either for their own benefit playing wise or to get them in the shop window........
This was very telling;
Although the exact reason behind United’s decision to abort the deal remains unclear, manager Chris Wilder has previously stated that he will not process any agreement which guarantees a player first team football at Bramall Lane. Cameron Carter-Vickers and Jamal Blackman, signed on loan from Spurs and Chelsea respectively, both agreed to compete for a starting place in United’s squad.
Sinclair would have got regular football, you would have thought, so maybe that one was holding out for a higher salary, (remember Norwich were supposed to have been in for him and maybe offered more) rather than a guarantee of first team football.
Do they benefit the game?
Do they achieve much that is not twattish?
Well like I say, they're not all bent - regardless of whether or not you choose to recognise this.
Yes, some do.
