That's not news, he ses the same in the boozer every Sunday after clearing the shelf of Peroni!

As usual I don’t have the first idea what or who the hell you are on about.

Just being a dick pal, wasn't discrediting :)

No harm done. Wouldn’t have bothered to normally mention it but seeing as Town are doing the rounds looking at a potential new manager themselves.........

I work in the hudd fella and I'd really be surprised if he got canned, rec he's still got fan support despite their season looking doomed.

At least i hope. Town have a temptingly good setup

True enough which is why I was surprised. Their chairman doesn’t seem to be the type to pull the trigger and their setup is rock solid. Bottom of the league does the funniest things though in the self proclaimed best league in the universe.

A bloke I met who supports Brechin City knows someone at East Fife who's heard that Chris is 'appy.

It’s but for the grace of God he’s a Blade, otherwise it would be a no brainer for him.

He should listen to their offer and use it to leverage a better deal for himself in the Summer.

Surprised the Cowley Bros at Lincoln aren't in the frame with more clubs - similarish to the path of Wilder - doing similarish job

As for Stoke - Wilder may go somewhere - it won't be to Stoke.

There are numerous clubs out there who dare not embarrass themselves by even making an approach - and being rejected.

Slow news day? Typical media these days they can't even wait to see where clubs finish before they start their rumour machine.

No need to panic....go on the Stoke forum and read their “next manager” threads

You’ll see that there’s virtually no talk and no interest amongst Stoke fans about getting Wilder.
Assume they either don’t rate him compared to a David Moyes or Sam Aladyce or they just don’t think he’s realistic.
Ive said this before but outside SU, fortunately for us, Wilder just isn’t sexy enough, his cv can’t compare to Moyes or Aladyce.

We all know in the early stages the bookies just put loads of names in the betting list to try and create interest.

He needs to take a club up to the Premier to be taken seriously. Most people outside Sheffield see..

English..
Played for Sufc...
Only managed in Lower Leagues until last season...

They put two and two together and come up with Five.. i.e dinosaur who must all be about hoof and passion.

A couple say they have never heard of him. I really don't know how you can follow football enough to post on a football forum yet not know who is in charge of the team 3rd in your own league.

Very very true....also he’s probably seen as a young Neil Warnock, a genius in the lower divisions but not what a top club would want.
No PL club would ever dream of appointing Warnock.....convinced it’s the same with Wilder.
Also CW has no experience managing foreign players, hugely talented players with big egos, players on huge salaries.
He’s not famous as a player so will struggle to initially command respect. Why would a PL club take such a massive risk?

Things are different at Championship level though but very few Championship clubs could pull him away from us, especially a smaller club like Stoke who in 2 or 3 years will be struggling to pull in 20,000 supporters. Also the bigger Championship clubs would rather go for a Moyes, Allydyce, Bruce type rather than an up and coming inexperienced (at this level) Wilder.
