Wilder Expects a Reaction

He'll get a reaction alright on Saturday, from the fans when Milwall go two up.

They played like 11 strangers last night.

Lord knows what they do in training, but one reaction could be to get them together, get them to shake hands, introduce themselves.

Then play some football together. I'm thinking of things like passing, tackling, dribbling, shooting, aiming for the goal, shielding, communicating. Keeping shape and having some discernible tactics would also be nice if I'm being greedy.

And we expect a reaction from Wilder, in terms of team selection and tactics.

If it was me it'd be

1 Long unless we sign a new keeper, and if so I'd start with the new keeper straight in
2 Brayford
3 Hussey
4 Wilson
5 Wright
6 Basham, unless new centre mid and I'd start with new centre mid
7 Duffy
8 Fleck
9 Clarke
10 Sharp
11 Chapman

Formation 4-2-3-1. Sharp up top, Clarke in behind with Duffy and Chapman off Clarke roaming and providing the wing service. Centre mids Fleck and Basham, back 4 obvious. Not many changes there but there just isn't the personal to change it drastically, and that can lead to problems anyway making too many changes.

Reaction???? 15 thousand at next home game if we're lucky...and going by what's happening at the club we're not so 13 thousand it is then!!!!

I was just going to post the exact same, I know we haven't got a massive amount of options in the squad, but what message does it send when they play that bad and still continue to be picked.

If Wilder doesn't make significant changes a lot of fans are going to be on his back.

Not really bothered about attendances short term . Wilder has got us in this mess not McCabe , Clough , Adkins .

He has to get us out of it .

I do think Wilder ( who ain't no rookie ) has totally underestimated the job in hand . We are not relegation fodder and have played 3 games , albeit on the evidence so far we are going from bad to worst .

The players in league 1 and 2 are all a bit of a muchness . The difference is we still haven't got players with a mental strength to cope with expectations , stadium , and winning .

Also did Wilder ever discuss signing Clarke with Billy . Them 2 cannot play together . Too many loose ends and no collective end product .

How many players do we need to become a force - 6 maybe .

We are beating ourselves at the moment and not really getting turned over . What's the answer . Just let Wilder get on with it . It's how he reacts that's going to count . At the moment it's all a bit bluster . No doubt we will be there or there abouts at the end of the season.

Got to be wholesale changes for me, Brayford, Basham, Sharp, Long, Hussey, Duffy, Done all need dropping.

New GK/Ramsdale

Freeman
O'Connell
Wilson
Wallace

Coutts
Fleck
Whiteman

Chapman
Clarke
McNulty

No point playing 442 as we don't have the central midfielders or wingers suited to it.

Or get someone to bang a few of their heads together.

There will be a reaction from the fans alright if they play at Millwall like they did last night.....

complete and utter fuck up, 3 individual mistakes each costing a goal, kamikaze defending had lost us the game in 15 minutes

might need a bit of work

I am not expecting miracles. Since we have been in league 1, can you remember when we last comprehensively beat a team? When we scored more than 1-2 goals? When we won by a 2+ margin? There can't be many.

The best we will get at Millwall, I predict, is a draw (likely 0-0). But if I was betting I would say we will lose.

Its already a disasterous start.

Do we have enough senior players to drop the ones that played badly?

Edit: without bringing in those that are transfer listed?

Exactly mate, you couldn't have put it any better.

Agreed, and the manager must bear some responsibility.. the team looks all at sea and clueless. Coherent team strategy? Or are the players, including all the new additions really so clueless?

He wanted a reaction after Crewe and Rochdale and got zilch from the players so i'm not too confident much will change against Millwall.

Wilder has moved on and dropped a lot of poor players and rightly so, worryingly he's somehow managed to replace them with even worse.

and less we forget, it's sink or swim time.

So what happens if we sink Chris?

I'm expecting a reaction too. They conceded 5 goals in the week, sure to be fired up

I'm expecting an erection...if we win that is...well, at least a semi...oh sorry, that was Clough..
