Well done to you guys, puts you back in the driving seat. We (Leeds) should have won that but bottled it against a team battling to stay up. Is there still a twist in this? We are chasing again and you are trying to hold onto 2nd spot. Could be over for us on Monday but as someone said on here a few days ago the fat lady hasn't sung yet. Dont get carried away yet. Both teams looked nervy but you could be nearly over the line Monday.....maybe?!!!

Ian “The Mouse” Abrahams has been predicting us to finish 2nd for weeks.
His theory is that Leeds rely to much on playing an high energy high pressing game.
He said players can’t continue with a high intensity right to the end of the season, he confidently predicts they will tire.
Even though he’s a West Ham fan he always talks very positively about us and Chris Wilder.

Jason Cundy has consistently said the PL need a club like Leeds United in it and he’s admitted supporting Leeds in this promotion race.
He was taking the Micky out of The Mouse this week saying his prediction about Leeds United missing out is wrong.
The Mouse was saying that we still have a good chance, Cundy laughed saying Leeds wont mess it up from here.
Then he went on about how he can’t wait to see how Bielsa copes in our Premier League.

So frustrating our lack of consistency.

Agree it’s a tricky fixture
But I believe if we beat Hull, then we’ve virtually sealed promotion.
I can definitely see Leeds dropping points in their matches against Brentford and Villa.

Hopefully in the final week we’ll be in a position where even if we lose away at Stoke, then Leeds will still need to turn around a 6 goal swing in the goal difference.

I’m hoping we beat Hull 1-0, then beat Ipswich 2-0 putting us on 88 points.
If Leeds lose to Brentford but beat Villa then even if we lose by 1 goal to Stoke, then Leeds would need to win away at Ipswich by 7 goals, which isn’t going to happen.

Actually I’d love it if we beat Hull and Leeds lost to Brentford, then it would mean we can celebrate a promotion at the Lane because beating Ipswich on Saturday would realistically mean promotion.

Funnily enough the xG table has us top, you 2nd, Norwich 3rd. Norwich have far exceeded expectations and both of us havent, credit Norwich.

Monday is crucial since after it you have Ipswich and we have Villa.

Hull give me hope, bit of a Jekyll and Hyde team but they are capable of beating you, indeed they have 4 times out of the last 7.

But we still have to go to Brentford and get something and aside from us, you and Norwich they are the best home side in the league.

Not over yet but play like we did yesterday and we will get naff all.

Play at our best and we can beat all 3, just got to cross fingers and toes.

First half I thought we were bang average, but whether it was Wilder's half-time words, the second half saw us pick up the gauntlet and look a little more effective. We've been off our better standard for awhile, no idea why, but our play has been poor, but we'll see how we respond to replacing you in second place. No silliness about what will happen, I'd imagine we're both too knowing to avoid making predictions. The next three games will be nail-biting affairs.

Appreciate your observations, but the unwritten subtext seems to be that Hull, if they find their form, can beat us. To make this possible it would require the Blades to be so below par to hand it to you on a plate. Somehow I can't see this happening, which is not to infer that Hull will be an easy game, but that we'll have no resolve or ambition. I, and thousands of other Blades, are realists and have come to expect very little, but given what's at stake, this is so removed from what Wilder and company will have installed in the players that we'd have to collude in Hull's dominance not to get a result of some sort. If nothing else, it should prove interesting.
