Been reading the post match threads and apologies if I've missed it but no one has said what a performance Leon put in. Never stopped working and won the flick on for the first goal. Would have had his goal if Billy had passed first half. Defo contender for MOTM. Chuffed with a win we had to battle for. UTB.

I honestly thought he had an off game ,and would have taken him off instead of Billy.

He never stopped running. Involved and gave us an option. Billy had a good game, put himself about and I'd guess he came of with Friday in mind.

Leon was excellent tonight. He's really not very good at all as a target man, but when he gets the ball at his feet or in space his technique is top drawer, and he provided a bit of creativity when we weren't getting much from elsewhere. Almost Sheringham-esque at times tonight.

Billy also did really well, I think he came off because Wilder wanted the ball to stick a bit more when we cleared it out of defence and that's really Donaldson's job.

Think it was after Billy left the pitch Leon was chanted a few times in appreciation of his commitment to give the QPR midfielders a hard time. Happy with Billy's performance too

Chris said Leon was outstanding in his interview (might have been referring to the first half). He certainly worked hard and seems to be getting back to form. What he really needs is a goal to get him going again.

Different United tonight. .thought we were poor,need some proper defending from the midfield, too many second balls lost,thought qpr were a lot better with the ball tonight.

Thought he was excellent tonight, i was sat in the Bramall Lane upper and numerous times in the first half he made the turn and lost his marker only for the ball to be passed elsewhere when the through ball was on.

Both Leon and Billy put a shift in tonight. Both were back helping out the defence and getting stuck in when QPR were starting to get on top.

Agree. Billy had a great intensity last night, off night in front of goal. But put 3 delicious crosses in, 2nd half. Trouble is he wasn't on the end of them. Full of running, realised after 5 minutes, that the ref was giving him nothing after 3 or 4 definite fouls. And only one yellow card in the match, and to us . Langford had a shocker, nowt new there then.

Leon was superb. MOM for me. First half he was making it a nightmare for their right full back. Second half when we were defending deeper he really put a shift in.

He gave a great team performance.

Best performance for a long time, now hopefully a goal to really get him firing again.

Enjoy seeing Leon play as he never gives up and wears defences down. Ok he’s not scoring but he gives 100%, indeed the whole team did. So much in control until they scored but we dug in and are back in contention.

Undoubtedly Leon was back to somewhere near his best tonight. He and Billy both on song and are our best pairing. However, taking their age into account, they both get jaded on occasions and need a recharge.
We have more options to rest Billy, unfortunately, Leon has no direct replacement and has to soldier on.

I thought he was back to his busy best, bullying defenders and using the ball well when he had it.
Would have liked one of the early chances that fell to sharp to fall to Leon, think we would have ended up with a hatful!
