Why no Bogle?

in his interview before kickoff Wilder mentioned his team selection my look odd from a distance but he's sees the players everyday of the week..

Maybe he looked a bit off in training? didn't really get in to the last game.

maybe will give us a boost from off the bench today

To be fair why do we need him. It’s obvious we’re not allowed break lines, make late runs in to the box or just pass to feet. He may as well keep warm and watch us smash 70 yard balls to our forwards

You could ask the same for Burke being picked ahead of Brewster seems to me any half decent player is kept away from the starting 11.
Why is Stevens being picked at LCB ahead of Bryan

I would leave Bogle out for the last few games if Berge is fit enough to start.Looked lost in the last few games, had no influence on them and didn't appear to know his role or be able to carry it out.Needs a decent coach to get hold of him because after a promising start, has dropped off .

True after a decent start and most of us calling for him to start, he's been really poor recently

Don’t think having a makeshift centrehalf inside him has helped. Don’t imagine there’s much confidence there to give him the freedom to bomb on. Not knocking baldock because he shouldn’t be playing there but it is what it is we’re limping on till the summer.

Basically, after his injury is when u could pinpoint he has started looking less threatening.

The question is whether it's a mental thing or physical thing...?

As much as I love Baldock and he's great defensively... If Bogle was playing last night we probably would have scored more goals. Baldock must be breaking records for Wasted Assist Opportunities (which is a new metric I've just invented for him).

The WAO Index - I like it.
Boom Boom Boom
Let me hear you say WAO…..

No sure we can afford Bogle with our defensive performances so far. I think he’d be more suited to deputise at the RM spot where MGW has been playing. If we can get our defence sorted then maybe Bogle can play RB

I'm not sure the argument Baldock is a great defender holds as much water these days. Yet hardly anyone is acknowledging his decline in that area of his game over the last 12 months. I'm not sure we lose that much by putting Bogle there, but I know we'd gain an awful lot from his attacking abilities.

Agree that while we are dodgy defensively Bogle shouldn't come in, but I'm not having him play RM either - square pegs in square holes n' that.

He's been poor in the games he's played this season, and will get another chance to prove himself against Southampton.

Does he even cross the ball these days? I remember one good pull back first half that was skyed. Second half one scuffed cross from the byline into the keepers arms, and one that was cleared easily near post. We just attacked down the left until Berge switched to the right late on. Baldock couldn't have been more negative and is hiding imo. Then again, you can't get any stick for your end product if you never attempt to cross the ball or provide a forward outlet .

How can Bogle be on the bench?
I agree, against Derby and Luton he didn't show anywhere near enough to be even close to the bench. I guess when Ozzy, Davies and Guedioura are back then Bogle will drop off the bench completely.

Bogle has got worse, inch by inch, since his excellent start in December/January last season.

I'd fancy Bogle in this new look side to offer quite a lot going forwards. But, as has been said, we're too vulnerable at the moment to take Baldock out. He's by far the better defender and Egan needs the support. I think they're all struggling to adapt to the back 4.

And you know that how exactly ? By his long run in the team where he has been given the chance to show whether he is shite or not

If we wanted to play with wingers, I don't see why Bogle can't be one. He is much better attacking than defending.

That said he performed utter wank against Derby in the cup.
