Why Is He Praising

The few minutes I heard consisted of him talking about his favourite subject, 'himself' and his time at Boro with the standard "I thought we were turning it around" before Gibson pulled the trigger after ten games. His press conferences are dull at best.

If we are as fucking boring tonight as we were against what I thought was one of the more average Leeds teams of recent seasons last week then he can fuck right off. I don't mind seeing us lose occasionally if we are well beaten but any complete lack of any sort of attacking intent is inexcusable given the creativity we have.

Carrick is being really positive and predicting that "someone is going to get a hiding" against his team soon. That's what I'd like to hear as a supporter but I genuinely don't see us giving anyone a thrashing with the way we are playing. Not a bad start results-wise I know but Wilder needs to liven himself up before it seeps into the players and we hit a dip in my opinion.

Carrick has to say that, because they're underperforming and fans expect them to promote in the autos.

I'd personally rather have accrued 7 points more than them after 10 games, than worry about who had the best line from the presser.

Its hardly surprising when you have a fanbase waiting to stick the knife in. Look at it on here since we lost. Can't be a comfortable position to be in, can it.

It's natural when being attacked/ constantly under the threat of being attacked, to be defensive.
Did some fans being critical about the system he used against Leeds really require a response about how English managers are often criticised for being stuck in their ways? It just felt like an utterly disproportionate argument.

Our fanbase is not unique in how we respond to poor performances. I get that Wilder is more embedded in fan sentiment than most other managers but I just sometimes think he pays it far too much attention.

Strange reply.

I'm not remotely "worried" by anything football-related at all. I stated that Carrick was "being really positive" and that's what I'd like from Wilder. I also said that we'd had "not a bad start" too so what are you disagreeing with exactly?

Maybe you should read my post again and think before typing.

We rolled over and had our bellies tickled at Leeds. I want the fuck the opposition we will out work you Wilder back.
