Just thinking about the doom and gloom merchants at the match today and the fall out from this latest defeat.

How many on this forum have actually been through a relegation and understand the feelings?

Would you come back for more??

The piggies and Leeds crowds have fallen big time.

How many would we get next season if we went down?

I've not seen a proper relgation from the blades, though i as alive for the last time we were

And as for going back of course i will, no matter where we are i would go see.
As for some of the other 'glory hunting' fans i think they'll go and crowds will lower, by how much i don't know.

May 1994 was probably one of the worst months of my entire life and not just because we got relegated, no that just made it all worse, my interest in United then afterwards begin to fade and never fully came back till years later, but this time I won't let that happen.

I havent seen a relegation since ive really followed united

i will still go so long as where i work allows me saturdays off!

to be fair, in comparsion to some of the owls last few seasons in the prem their attendances are actually higher now.

Anyways, I remember the previous relegation and how much it hurt, particularly because of the way it happened. We could have finished 14th that day i believe it was, and was on course to it, till obviously we all know what happened.

Mark Stein is a prick

i remember our last relegation from the premiership but i can't say that i would have been able to understand the feelings of one back there.

I'd still come to the lane no matter what league we was in...and could afford to keep the ground of course lol!

I admit I haven't.. maybe early 80s but can't say I remember them.

1994 I wasn't at the games as we'd just moved back from Bradford at Easter so there wasn't much happening with me and the football front - but I do remember it.

Fingers crossed I don't experience it for real this time

I was too young at the time of our last relegation.

Im guessing the feeling is similar to the loss i felt in the play off finals.

cant remeber it either but went to thegames then.

ill be there ifwe get relegated, ill still be going home and away if we were in the conference

This is the attitude most of us have got. I'd watch United if we were in the Champions League final or an end-of-season, mid-table nothing game against Accrington Stanley.

being relegated is awful, unfortunalty being a blade I have seen far too many of them and not enough 'winning things'. They leave a knott in the bottom of your stomach that takes weeks to go.

At Chelsea last time I went with friends and we had the champagne ready, it just couldn't happen, and then it did.

Same as many of the young 'uns... lived through it but didn't really follow football as such.

Can't really remember anything.

I'm not one of these people who won't go just because we aren't winning or get bored when we aren't winning every week. I think some people were spoilt last season.

And if we go down, it'll be bloody cheaper! :)

I think crowds would dip a little. But then they'd see how we were winning most weeks and they'd probably lift again as we went neck and neck with West Ham for the title!!

A little i think they would drop massivley untill we started doing well and looked like definites for promotion!

Right we are not going down so quit being negative... I have had it all worked out for weeks now, and got everyones results spot on we will finish on 38-41 points which will be enough to stay up, wigan or charlton will go down. Its in our own hands, with have the easiest run in, every game left is winnable for us apart from man u. Just need to stay positive and get behind them for these important home games.
Another positive is that i actually thought we played well against bolton... remember they are 5th in the league.
And wolves lost 0-6 so it wasnt all bad.
Thats it, rant over....

I agree with that i think we will stay up!

But wheres wolves become relevant?

firstly dont be daft we ARE going down unless theres a miracle. We dont have the easiest run in we do in fact have thehardest as the other teams we are playing are also fighting for their lives.

Agreed. I think Charlton will win a maximum of 3 more games (and that includes us!) so I see no reason why we can't muster 9 points from our remaining games. Don't think we'll need 9 if we get anything at The Valley.

I have never seen a relegation.

When we last got relegated i was only young and didnt start going to the games til a couple of years after.

That is stupid a miracle? Slighlty extreme i think so we've got the point on charlton, win our games they cant catch us simple!

The hardest? No way other teams have the hardest

well i am sorry but i would rather have our run in than wigan or charlton, wigan deffinately have the worst. At least we have winable home games, I dont think we will get anything away at charlton tho, charlton will finish on 36 points max, they were lucky the weekend, they are not playing well at all. I knew it would come down to a 1 point difference this weekend, we didnt bottle it last season, and we wont bottle it this season, we have always made things difficult for ourselves.
Wolves comes into it cos i hate them more than wednesday :)

We just need to stay positive, I know there is going to be a nervous atmosphere at every home game now, but we dont want that to rub onto the players. We played some nice football saturday against a team who are 5th in the league. We will get 3 points next saturday.... keep the faith

ok yeah miracle is a bit extreme but we are going down just accept it we have no one to score were on a bad run of form albeit against big teams yeah,we ahve a hard run in,the only things which i think can get us through are our home games and our team spirit
