I think there’s an argument for all 3 teams. In my opinion though I would rather play Coventry or Middlesbrough as I feel like we played better against them over the 2 games this season. Bristol City and Millwall we struggled to break them down in both games home and away.

Watched Middlesborough v pigs yesterday and they were absolutely abysmal
Looked more like a relegation team and can't defend

Im same as Frank after yesterday, Boro were garbage!!
I dont fear any though, especially over two legs

In the final analysis United have the best team in the play-off. OK, it's a worthwhile debate about whether the style of play maximized United's playing staff this season, but the Blades' personnel is better than that of the opposition. If the players get their minds right - which is down to Wilder - then who finishes sixth shouldn't be a concern.

Bristol City are looking dead certs to finish 5th, either Coventry or Middlesbrough (preferably Coventry) as one of them will probably just drift into playoffs on the last day.

Not sure about that - they are only a point ahead of Coventry - and play Leeds next.

Coventry play Boro on the last day - that could be a humdinger...
Fair point re Bristol City (not the best time to play Leeds), but I wasn't impressed with Coventry or Boro yesterday.

Coventry deservedly lost to a decent Plymouth side and were lucky to stay in the playoffs as Boro dropped points against Pigs, who have been poor at home all season, they missed a great chance at the end but they didn't look like they did enough anyway.

Even if Bristol City drop points against Leeds (it wouldn't surprise me if they got something against Leeds), I'd still back them to get 5th.

Oh they are definitely in the driving seat.

Its an odd one - the only teams in any sort of decent form are Millwall (4 wins in last 5) and Blackburn (won the last 3) - and Millwall play Burnley and Blackburn play us on the last day - so they have tricky fixtures and worse GD that Cov/Boro.

I suspect it will be Bristol C and whoever wins the Cov-Boro game on the last day of the season.

There could be shenanigans its a dangerous game to play,id be interested who the other teams would prefer to play Sunderland or United.
Surely you'd rather play Sunderland - lost their last 3 and are clearly a worse side than us across the season.

Its likely to be Bristol City as Millwall play Burnley last match and Leeds play Bristol City next week so likely they lose them
Coventry have Luton away and then last match is Coventry v Boro !

its all going to be novel , the past 9 play off failures will have no bearing on this at all

its Wilders first championship play off, our previous downfalls are down to not picking goal scorers and going for it
cant see Wilder not being aggressive

its likely 5th and 6th placed team will barely get past the 70 point mark
its there for us to grab , we must go for it , discard any negative tactics
look for the wins from the off

Read that three times second paragraph is still humorous

Best thing about the playoffs is there isn't a team we have any particular beef with and it's not going to be that irritating whoever beats us.
Ideally we lose in the semis and avoid the needless expense of losing at Wembley.

Anyone who says the PL is a better league than The Championship needs to look at this season. 6 teams still in with a shout of 6th place and almost every game for teams placed 3rd to 11th is against a team that have something to play for. The run in is going to class.

What an odd table - Wednesday/Watford can`t go down (so aren`t potentially fighting for survival) - we are secured in 3rd so aren`t fighting for jack shit.

The point remain true (although I wouldn`t be including Swansea and WBA in any table - they aren`t making the PO as both are 6 point adrift and Coventry have to play Boro)

Out of the last combined 24 games, the current play off teams have only won 10 games. Nobody is going into this playing well.

We probably have the best squad Sunderland probably have the most game changers. Bristol City are probably the best coached and Coventry have had the best second half of the season. None of us are great but there's also no obvious weak link.

One thing worth noting is that whoever we.play will have had two very tough games in a period when we can just concentrate on the play offs and rest players as appropriate.

I think we'll play virtual reserve teams in the last 2 games. I think we'll lose at Stoke (they need a win to confirm safety) and beat Blackburn (they'll have nothing to play for).

Much as I'd wish that 13th place Sheffield Wednesday were "potenitally fighting for survival" that's unfortunately not the case. Equally, 11th place Swansea aren't "fighting for the playoffs" as they're 6 points behind Coventry and require a 10 goal GD swing.
