Coutts form has improved with his anfitness on a personal level
I subjected myself to watching the full game on BP ( including re-running the numerous times when we got carved open) as you suggested ( I watch every game on BP anyway - even the ones I go to). Awful display all around. On a par with some of the worst performances I have seen with very few redeeming features - I'm struggling to think of any at all. No pride in that "team" (more like a collection of strangers really - do they actually train together??). Burton look like they have been together for years which many of them have been.
I did pay special attention to Coutts in the hope of seeing something of what you see in him but which has escaped me so far. I've said before he has improved a bit this season but not massively and mainly in areas where he can work with Brayford.
I apologise though because I think I may have inadvertently borrowed your Baxter glasses when I watched

because what I saw in Coutts was a player with some technical skill, a few nice flicks, very little pace, even less athleticism, defensively poor, switching off when they had the ball, ambling back when they broke past him, no real penetration or forward momentum in his passing, giving the ball away too often, marking fresh air an awful lot of the time, knackered after 50 minutes and looking like he wanted to be somewhere else. I swear he actually walks faster when the ball is dead than he runs when its in play.
Mind you there were a lot of others as bad. By the way -did we do a swop for Done's brother in the summer or something because he has looked poor all season for me. Heresy I know.
Sorry Sitters, cannot see anything special in Coutts. If he's not fit now he never will be and a professional footballer should be able to manage more than 50 minutes. He should look like he gives a shit about the club as well. Sorry but I'd junk him with the other rubbish - but we are stuck with him another year I think (loan to Donny?).
