Is say that's more to do with Arsenal holding onto him as a reserve as opposed to him just coming good late. For keepers 25 is still on the younger side, especially for elite level. In his mid-late 20s Emi Martinez was on loan at clubs such as Getafe and Reading.
I’m not entirely convinced on him playing as high as Chelsea; we haven't seen enough of Cooper to make a definitive judgment. While it’s clear he has the ability to be a great keeper, he has also benefited from strong defence in front of him. That’s where I think you’re wrong on Cooper. He’s as good as Sanchez now.
fair point, but then again, rewind to a raw Kyle Walker breaking thro and who’d have thought he would go on to have 1Champions league, 1 Super cup, 6 Premier leagues , 2FA cups, 4EFL’s, 5 kids, 2Mrs’s and 7figure CSA’s..
I don’t see any of our players being Liverpool, City, Arsenal, Chelsea players in the future though.
David Raya got his move to Arsenal at 27Mad that a 25yo is considered to have the highest ceiling.
Michael Cooper is very, very good. But he's not exactly a youngster and he plays in the most difficult position to break through to an elite level.
Cooper, need to keep him away from top clubs in January and next summer, hopefully if we get in premiership it'll help
Yeah agree with this. We have several players in our first 11 that wouldn’t look out of place in a squad for those upwardly-mobile mid table Prem teams. I think this makes us more competitive if we do go up again this year.I think a lot of our players could fit into a squad of mid table premiership team, I don’t personally see anyone higher than that though.
You could see- Anel, Cooper, Souza, JRS, Hamer, Souttar, Arblaster all being part of a Fulham/ Brighton/ Brentford/ Bournemouth squad. I’m not saying they’re good enough to play week in week out or even start but they would get in their squads.

Yep you’re right, in my defence I was away for that gameSunderland?![]()
If I have to pick one, it'd be Burrows. Stepped up into the Championship with ease. Teams don't (or can't) attack down his side, and I don't think that's simply down to his defensive attributes but more because he's so good on the ball that pressing him gets you nowhere, whereas pressing Gilchrist gets you somewhere. Definitely think he'll have a career in the top-flight, with Cooper/Arblaster/Peck/Anel not far behind.I'm tempted to say Burrows. He's been much better defensively than I expected (and his stats suggested), is good going forward and pops up with the occasional goal. I think he can improve still further and be a mid-level PL player.
