Inspired by the comment on us rarely getting a goal at the Stadium of Light. I wondered what other grounds we have scored the least amount of goals on in relation to games played there? Surely there is some statto (or saddo depending on which way you look at it) out there who can conjure up a list.

I'll start....

London Road: 9 goals in 4 games (2.25 goals per game)
Glanford Park: 3 goals in 2 games (1.5 gpg)
Keepmoat: 3 goals in 2 games (1.5 gpg)
Ricoh Arena: 5 goals in 4 games (1.25 gpg)
Walkers Stadium: 6 goals in 5 games (1.2 gpg)
Madejski: 9 goals in 8 games (1.13 gpg)
Cardiff City Stadium: 1 goal in 1 game (1 gpg)
Liberty Stadium: 2 goals in 2 games (1 gpg)
Pride Park: 5 goals in 6 games (0.83 gpg)
Riverside: 4 goals in 5 games (0.8 gpg)

There, that's all the easy and current ones from this league.

Ive put a ban on myself going to the Stadium of Light to watch United. Ive been three times and never seen United score there. The scores were 2-0, 3-0 and 1-0 in that order. The first one was the playoff semi final second leg in 1998. On that occasion a vociferous home crowd, intimidated referee and inspired goalkeeping performance (Lionel Perez) kept a dogged United out. How we didnt score that night I will never know!

It's actually my second most visited ground. Behind Bramall Lane and in front of Hillsborough! Been four times! If I dont stop going United will never score there and I could end up a Mackem - fat chance!

Away ground where we never score???

Old Trafford has to be one. I know there is post post about grounds we score a lot bit this is one where we have a bad scoring record

Old Trafford
1990/91 L 2-0
1991/92 L 2-0
1992/93 L 2-1
1993/94 L 3-0
2006/07 L 2-0
F A CUP V Newcastle lost 1-0
F A CUP V Arsenal lost 1-0

Thats 1 goal in last 7 visits

We scored quite a few goals at the Valley in recent seasons- I remember the 5-2, 3-1 and 1-1

Our record at Ipswich is piss poor. In 31 visits there we have scored a total of 27 goals, which works out at 0.87 per game.

Norwich is similar too. In 33 visits we have scored a total of 34 goals, which works out at 1.03 per game.

The curse of travelling to East Anglia....

Funnily enough I enjoy my visits to Norwich and Ipswich, both conductive to a good atmosphere with the train station 5 minutes away form both, and pubs on the way.

gareth taylor scored for us at the stadium of light i seem to remember, can't recall the season, although sunderland did get 4 with a certain kevin phillips grabbing a hat trick.

even better living 30 mins from norwich though ;) but yes, we do seem to have a seriously bad record in the east, I have never seen us win at Norwich, the only goal I saw us score was when Neil Shipperly scored in the promotion season, and we lost that bloody game 2-1 as well, the amount of stick I got after Leon pissing McKenzie scored the winner is unreal, I always said he was useless, and then he did that, ta pal!

I fooking hate the Stadium of Light

never seen United get anything, not 1 point!

What about Anfield - 4 goals in our last 13 visits:

4/9/68 (LC) 0-4
19/2/72 0-2
23/9/72 0-5
27/10/73 0-1
15/3/75 0-0
6/9/75 0-1
15/12/90 0-2
1/1/92 1-2 (Deane)
19/8/92 1-2 (Deane)
11/11/92 (LC) 0-3
2/4/94 2-1 (Flo 2)
21/1/03 (LC) 0-2
24/2/07 0-4

Thats true actually. We lost 4-2. Taylor and Deane for us. In 1997/98 season I believe. The season where Deano and Jan-Aage got sold on the same day and we ended up getting to the cup semi-final!

We caught Sunderland at a bad time, it was right at the start of their amazing run when they realised they were the best team in the league by some distance!
