One thread, one poll with all positions 1st to 24th. You get one go at it, and it will close before the first game of the season.

At the end of the season we can look back and see who was right all along and who was wrong.

I am sticking with my policy of mad optimism....

I see nothing but a relegation scrap.

Trying to look at this objectively, without the red & White hat and glasses on, no money, squad to be decimated and replaced with a bunch of nobodies all in the last week before the season starts and playing with a another bunch of inexperienced kids, topped with a new manager who's record in recent years is well let's say less than satisfactory.

More likely to finish nearer the bottom than the top and if I weren't a blade, I'd take the 20/1 on offer to be relegated.

I think brownie should be called 'Poll Pot' for his incessant benchmarking antics and his 'previous' weed association. :p

I've gone for 7th...but having a fiver on Promotion @ 9/4

It's going to be a very tough season. If all the established players go as rumoured (Quinn, Monts, Willo) and with them the crap that is Ched they may or may not be replaced in time before the window shuts. If they are replaced it will most likely be with younger players that will need time to adjust. If we get a poor start - and nothing. so far, suggests anything to the contrary, then I expect we will struggle all season and finish well below half way. The only option I can see changing that is if Wilson picks up a set of good free transfers from an increasing pool of players released from their clubs. Unattached players can still be signed out of the transfer window - so that looks to me his best shopping ground - kind of TK Maxx of the football world - or more likely the charity shops

I'm going for 8th. Mid table start with a improvement after January just leaving us short.

Going to stick my neck out and say 10th. Poor start with signs of improvement going into the new year.

If the season follows that course we could find ourselves with yet another new manager half way through.

Hope I'm wrong and that we maintain top 6 the whole way through with Wilson in charge. Can't see it at the moment.

Would you expect wilson to keep his job at that??

Yeah I would DP, I think (and hope) that McCabe has realised that sacking managers is not the way forward, we desperately need stability.

As much as I don't like Wilson, I've resigned myself to him being in charge for at least a season. It'll be a season of medicrity at best.

I fully expect that I'll have had enough of him by Christmas though.

8th for me, the 6points dropped by Chesterfield doing the double will cost us a top 6 place.

Not bothered about Chessy - that's nailed on a double for them over us - it's the Pigs and Agent Wilson that gives me the creeps.
Getting hives about the BDM

i've gone for 7th.. just outside the playoffs.. in true blades style.. probably on goal difference ;)

as a lifelong blade i have no rep so doesn't matter :)
i've voted we will win the league and apart from a duff keeper, a sieve like defence, a midfield as useful as submarine washer in the swiss navy and strikers that dont seem to be able to score even if they visit wayne rooneys friend (at £1,500 per hour, ask for stretford end net pussy) we have every chance because other than those minor faults we are as good as any in this or any other league.
COYRAWW!!!!

Bumping this thread back up to top, as it is a good one and the poll times out in a few days. Went for 10th.

I am going for a top half, mid table finish. I have stated why in other threads. Cannot really see us getting prmoted with the current squad (could change by August but I doubt it) and see this as a transition season.
