i've voted we will win the league and apart from a duff keeper, a sieve like defence, a midfield as useful as submarine washer in the swiss navy and strikers that dont seem to be able to score even if they visit wayne rooneys friend (at £1,500 per hour, ask for stretford end net pussy) we have every chance because other than those minor faults we are as good as any in this or any other league.

It's going to be a very tough season. If all the established players go as rumoured (Quinn, Monts, Willo) and with them the crap that is Ched they may or may not be replaced in time before the window shuts. If they are replaced it will most likely be with younger players that will need time to adjust. If we get a poor start - and nothing. so far, suggests anything to the contrary, then I expect we will struggle all season and finish well below half way. The only option I can see changing that is if Wilson picks up a set of good free transfers from an increasing pool of players released from their clubs. Unattached players can still be signed out of the transfer window - so that looks to me his best shopping ground - kind of TK Maxx of the football world - or more likely the charity shops

Aside from the general pessimism, people are presuming that re-building/transformation automatically = struggle

It may well be that the likes of Collins play better in DW's system, as may Willo and others. Given that most of our squad have either played at a higher level or done well at this level, there's more chance of success than failure I would have thought. I'm not saying it'll be easy, far from it, but I don't see how some are catagorically saying we'll struggle.

Still more to get rid of and several additions required in key positions before we can mount a serious challenge. If this happens then we could push for play offs - if the Ched case rumbles on and hamstrings DW in the tranny market we could struggle early doors and fade like the pigs did last year - and they finished below half way so don't rule it out.

Relegation seems a far too distant threat and highly unlikely given the squad we have - compared to others.
I know I am very pissed off with last year (and previous years) an all that but even I cannot see a relegation scrap from Div 3.

McCabe and the board have masterminded our slide down the leagues,they haven't done anything in the off season to suggest they have changed direction.
With no backing in the transfer market I think the board will just be happy to avoid another relegation battle this season ,a season just to stop the slide and bag some cash from the sales.

Very difficult to say without knowing if Danny Wilson rates the same players as me

Play the players I would pick and I'm quietly confident. Play some which may instead be a default option, then it's in the balance
