Now that signing are making there way in and our squad is starting to fill out. Where do we think we will finish this season?

I've gone for 12th, which a lot will see as disappointing, but on the whole I think it's going to be a much stronger league this season

We will be more than OK but a lot of sides around us last season have brought some quality in Everton, Newcastle etc

Just hope our fan base is sensible enough to realise any mid table finish will be another excellent season

Gone for tenth.. strong additions have been made this season and I can only see us building on a successful last season. Do think with a rumoured new striker we'll be able to take it to the next level.

Right. Bored of Wilder taking his eye of the ball since we won league one with 100pts. Sure we built on things in the championship, but that second place just didn’t sit right.

Last season we did alright, consolidated the midtable mediocrity in the end and yes it was a very odd last 1/4 of the season.

Time for Wilder to earn his money and kick on. We dropped off Liverpool far too quickly, VAR and Hawkeye were too often convenient excuses.

Let’s just crack on and win this Fucking league

Gone for 10 because I think this will be our pre-championships winning season practice season .... bedding in all the new players in, plus a couple in Jan transfer window

I've gone 14th.

Will be a stronger league this season and I reckon we could finish anywhere between 10th and 16th but much will depended on injuries.

I can easily see Southampton, Everton, Newcastle and West Ham finishing above us, and maybe Leeds.

14th here too, and il be happy with that.
Aslong as we go for it, we try win games, and we continue to play the Sheff Utd way, then that's good enough.
Obviously il still be pissed off when we lose, il moan and blame every cunt and his dog, but I'm a Blade, so I'm allowed! :p
The one thing that worries me, is how much we will struggle without the fans in the Lane!!?
I think that will be the biggest issue this season, cos our boys thrive when were in full voice, and that atmosphere sadly, will be missing this first half of the season atleast, maybe all of it I fear!

I've gone 14th on the basis that we'll concede more goals this season and will struggle to score more.

I also think that playing behind closed doors does us no favours whatsoever as our players rely a lot on the adrenaline created by the match day atmosphere to overcome a deficit in technical skills when compared to most other teams.

Playing at walking pace behind closed doors could be a serious issue for us. (hopefully even more so for Leeds)

I agree. Hopefully the team will be getting used to it by now.

Could be like this all season but at least there are no water breaks

We stiffed Tottenham and Chelsea at home without fans. The away form without fans is a concern. Newcastle, Manure, Southampton and to seem extent Villa out played us. Fix the travel games and we'll be fine. 7th for me.

14th, 15th or 16th. I can see us being more porous defensively and about the same level of attacking potency. Also to my eye, the likes of Everton, Southampton and Newcastle will be better next season.

I think our initial new season form will mirror our form over the last 10 games of last season, which was 11 points from a possible 30, with 9 goals scored and 14 conceded. Over a full season that's 41.8 points, 34.2 goals scored and 53.2 conceded. Going on Carlton Blade 's table that puts us 14th.

I said before the start of last season that my usual PL survival bench mark is 40 points, 40 goals scored and no more that 60 conceded.

I don't think we will replicate last season. But I don't think we will play differently. Other clubs are going to be far better this season with some of the money spent so far, plus teams will learn to play against us. We have made some good signings which I'm happy about however, we have only improved the squad, not the first 11. Hopefully Wilders little smirk means hes happy about this one and its a good forward. 14th IMO.

over 50% of votes for a finish between 10th and15th indicates that most Blades fans are pretty realistic about the challenge ahead. Doesn't mean they are right of course, owt could happen.

Whenever anyone asked me before last season how I thing we'd do, I'd just say "I think we'll be alright", and I feel the same this season.

I see no reason why the defence won't be just as good this season. Big season for both Berge and McBurnie. As usual, i think a lot will depend on injuries. We were either lucky or players health is well managed (probably a combo of both) last season. Will be interesting to see if Ampadu plays much and where.

I went for 11th. I think if we equalled or bettered 9th, that would be an incredible achievement as I believe, like others, it will be tougher this season. On the other hand, I don't think we'll struggle. We're more hardworking, disciplined and organised than a lot of teams.

Hopefully the players will now be used to playing with no fans as I think that really did affect us post lockdown.

It doesn't matter where we finish.

A football club managed by Chris Wilder will NEVER be relegated.

I just can't imagine it.

Finger in the air 12th.
I'm adding Man U to the teams we can't touch and the usual suspects will get the usual number of incredible decisions in their favour.
We're in that middle pack that could finish anywhere from 7th to 15th.

Gone for 14th as a few have mentioned the lack of an atmosphere could effect us,few of the games towards the back end of last season we were a little lethargic and would have potentially stepped their game up with a crowd behind them... possibly.

Also our cutting edge is ... questionable, fine as long as we don't concede many but if we do I can see us potentially getting a bit hot under the collar down the wrong end of the table.

However that's because I'm a pessimist and I'm sorry that I can't break the habit, forgive me.

However football is a funny old game and we could end up having another Stormer of a season and end up 6-8.

I don't know.

11th, but I think a points target would be better. 50pts and I'll be delighted. 40pts and I'll be satisfied.
