I was in one of my least favourite places, Gainsbrough, on the bridge, taking the kids back to the ex wife. Not really where I would have liked.

I was at the playing fields in the Worcestershire village of Bretforton watching FC Stratford Reserves win 7-0, another clean sheet for Jnr.

They kicked off at 2.30, so Jnr knew it was looking good. At half time I broke the news "We've not won the league son.... we've pist all over it". He was chuckling so much I was a bit concerned I might have broken his concentration for the second half.

Like a dickhead, I hadn't realised Bolton were playing early and I was planning to get home to listen to 5 Live. I checked my phone and had several texts saying we were champions. Bit of an anti-climax!

Just got back from Tesco. I'd actually forgotten about the Bolton game as I knew we were champions when we won yesterday, it was only a question of when. It was only a thread on here that reminded me and as I started to read it, the Bolton result was given out on the radio followed by the words 'Sheffield United are Champions'.

Watching KS Gornik Brzeszcze v LKS Solavia Grojec in the fifth tier of Polish football. It was one of those games where absolutely nothing happens in the whole 90 minutes. Nothing. 0-0 forever. So finding out about Bolton losing was just the tonic...well, that and the beers and vodka that were flowing on the terrace...
