Where are the players we need?

Like it or not…we do not have the finances to compete at the top of this league again this season. Probably what they also told Wilder and part of the mutual departure. He would not have been allowed to bring in the players he had lined up. Hence a ‘different direction’ …..eg Frees/Loans with money set aside for some wages.
If that's the plan, then they want to lay some money aside for next seasons promotion push, for getting out of league1

It's uncle Susans main source of income now.
In the last year he's gone from driving a fiat panda to a top of the range e bike.
She's a sight to behold in his lycra.

If the Blades don't sign any player at all this week and play the same team and tactics that we all know does not work.
We will lose again. Can't defend, can't score. The players don't know how to play the tactics Selles wants; in other words
Bad management.lose against Millwall. Selles must be sacked; we can't carry on like we are doing. Poor owners who don't seem to know anything about football.
Wilder won't be coming back this time. The new owners must appoint Sausage Rohl. I think he is a very good young manager. We have better players than wendy.
He will be great for us. We still need players to come in urgently, whatever they decide.

Has Rohl achieved any more than Selles did with his previous clubs?
Given our fans response to Danny Wilson, I’m not sure that appointing an ex-Pig is going to help to unite the club.
If we do have to cut our losses on Selles, id want us to go for proven managerial experience at the required level … Dyche and Cooper are the only stand outs barring a 3rd coming.

So, your suggested plan is that we swap one manager whose greatest managerial achievement on his CV is scraping survival in the Championship, for another manager whose greatest managerial achievement on his CV is scraping survival in the Championship?

As plans go, it's hardly Operation Spiderweb, is it?

I know the three year parachute payments are structured at 55%, 45% and then 20%, but does anyone know what this equates to in terms of a cash injection?

I'm starting to wonder.

We knew what we needed months ago.

We brought Selles in early. Had a good pre-season, and he's tried some of the younger players. None of them are in the positions we need filling.

The momentum and enthusiasm for this season is dropping like a stone. Every day passes and nothing happens.

I'm a happy clapper and I'm getting pissed off.

Come on Selles, Bettinson, COH, whoever, but get it sorted out. Fast.

I think Snr Selles is the least of our problems right now

Wasn’t it £45 million last season, £35 million this season.

We miss out on the 20% because we didn’t manage to stay in the PL, so it’s only 2 years of parachute payments , not 3 years.

If we fail to be promoted then next year we return to the standard Sky payment of £7 million a season to all championship clubs.

Third year only applies if the stay in the PL was 2+ seasons.

It's based on the equal share which is roughly £90m per season so 55% is about £50m and 45% £40m.

Well if that's the case then you can kiss Hamer, Peck, Arblaster, and One goodbye in the January Window if not this one 😬

We are so dithersome its comical. 20m plus solidarity payments in. And so far what, 2m out?
And what's galling - is the idiots on here saying 'lets see where we are at, at the end of the window' & ' maybe we are waiting for the perfect arrivals rather than panic buying'

It's quite obvious the new owners have completely screwed up the club, are not prepared to see it done properly and by the end of the window without doubt we will have a squad fighting relegation.

Forget all the big hitters- Even Oxford have done better business than us - it's nothing less than depressing.

Squad fighting relegation. Very normal reaction

OK Billy - amuse me - in the 3 competitive matches we've played so far - what have you seen to think relegation is not a distinct possibilty?

If the team that played against Swansea is turned out on Saturday - they will absolutely bully us to pieces, the team is as weak as pi**.

We were excellent v Bristol city I don’t care what anyone says, result was not reflective of performance.

Birmingham was a side with 10 changes not taking anything from it.

Haven’t seen the Swansea game so can’t fairly comment.

The squad is good enough to stay up if you are genuinely saying this side could get relegated I suggest you are only doing so for dramatic effect and attention

From what I've seen this season we will really struggle to finish above pigs, and we will concede over a hundred goals again. This team is as embarrassing as it gets and I've seen some shit games in last 50 years.
