Where are the players we need?

All we see is ‘we are interested in’….no drive or eagerness to get them over the line…at this rate we will go into the Millwall game with the same dire team and tactics as Swansea.
If this frustration makes me a ‘bed wetter’…so be it.
No it just makes you a realist, the bed wetting nonsense is over used if you have a different opinion than everything is rosy in camp!

The more I think about the "patience" line from the club back in May/June - the more I start to read it in the scope of 3/4/5 years, not the shorter term.

Maybe they thought they told us then, what to expect this summer, and we didn't get it.

And now they've been caught off guard and on their heels, especially with Selles' recent shots about the process.

It’s a difficult one ☝️ without being defeatist this season is pretty much over in terms of a realistic promotion push … given the lack of quality and number of players I can’t see us being anywhere near full throttle ( whatever that may be) until 10 games have gone by.

However we also don’t know that the state of the finances are of the club and what the yanks inherited or an outline of a plan they have to get us promoted (short, medium, long term)

Selling players of high value may be needed to balance the books and make us stronger long term but again we don’t know.

Other players may well be on the way but again we don’t know and it sounds like the manager doesn’t know either.

One thing they have to learn sharpish is communication is vital in this country and especially in football.

I don’t expect the full blown plan and explanation but broad brush strokes would be appreciated.

Well, if that’s what’s called bedwetting, then include Selles in that too. He said himself it’s not good enough 🤷‍♂️

They are at Hull (not good enough for us) Birmingham (Nge) feyenoord (too good to turn down 18m) Wrexham, Doncaster, Leicester.

Without luck because I read on here Wilder just got results through good luck, we need no luck or bad luck to justify Wilder ahht shit football just lucky 3 points.

It's way more entertaining this way. Wouldn't you agree. You wanted entertaining. Are you entertained? 3 defeats in a row. Just the one league goal.

52 points,last day agony

TBF there were numerous posts pre season where people were saying they were happy with a restart or a rebuild, whatever you choose to call it. Mid to top half this season as long as they saw progress. A long term plan not a quick fix. Bit early for people to be panicking if that was their view. FWIW I thought the Bristol City game was closer than the score showed with some decent attacking intent. Birmingham was basically our second string showing they were miles off it. Swansea was a shitshow and something seemed amiss. Saturday is now a huge game when it didn't need to be. The pressure is on the manager and the players but I've not given up on the season just yet as many seem to have. Maybe the board will deliver the players Selles craves but it appears we've wasted the first month of the season whichever way it pans out.

Any news yet about what is going to happen at the new training ground, or who is going to be replacing the released staff ?

Feel sorry for our home crowd, if they witness what I watched at Swansea! It was fckg awful 😖

We are Sheffield United we can't see the wood for the trees
We are Sheffield United we don't do player transfers easy.

Its hardly a surprise is it they have fooked up player transfer windows for as long as I can remember. We've had the odd exception Berge>Souzar but generally yeah we are pants, pants shitters.

Bed wetting was a month or two ago. It's fine to be getting towards a frothy panic now in fairness.

But the two month bedwetters must be in a disgusting state.

Like it or not…we do not have the finances to compete at the top of this league again this season. Probably what they also told Wilder and part of the mutual departure. He would not have been allowed to bring in the players he had lined up. Hence a ‘different direction’ …..eg Frees/Loans with money set aside for some wages.

I remember being told to ‘be patient’ when questioning why Heckingbottom put his protest team out against Palace the other year. That season worked out well 😬

Aye, should have given the parachute money back and said we're not bothering this season, got other plans thanks anyway.

I think it's worth noting that journalists might not post information as soon as they receive it, so you wonder how much time as passed between them recieving the information and reporting on it.

IMO, when I see news saying we are interested/monitoring a specific player, that might be us talking to the player, his agent or even his current club about whether we can sign him.

Just to give some perspective the promoted teams record in the first 4 games last season was:

Sunderland were WWWW for 12 points and 1st in the league
Leeds were DDWW for 8 points 4th in the league (so after 2 games they only had 2 points!!)
Burnley were WWLD for 7 points and 6th in the league.

we could win our next 2 and be on 6 points; nothing is won or lost in the first 4 weeks . . . . and don't ask me if I think we'll win our next 2 because no fucker has a crystal ball!!

Bah, bed wetter, far right Nazi, blah blah blah... it's all overused in today's world by people you disagree with and who don't have the intelligence to offer anything of their own, that they haven't got from the telly or their 'mates' online. Own it. Be proud.
