au contraire , after mr Slow balls upped last season this is the year we go for itWe're entering a period of austerity, hear the rhetoric pouring out of McCabe's mouth, being regurgitated by Wilder and being swallowed by fans who now are "happy we're not being taken the piss out of on wages" etc. truth be told (well in my opinion anyway) we are having the piss taken out of us, by the board - as per.

but of course allowing reasonable leeway for undisclosed fees, ie middle groundOn player fees?!

Alex Revell might have done a job.
I hope it's cheap beer you've been drinking all day!
We've sold 16,000 plus season tickets, that's enough for McCabe, he's now no longer bothered what happens for the rest of the summer in the transfer market.
Remember we have a pathway for youth to address any gaps in the squad.

Who are we going to sell to raiseAre we talking transfer fees alone? Are we talking net or raising £3-4mil in players sales and then spending £2million?
Who are we going to sell to raise
3 or 4 million pounds Dane?. Blade too long won't be far out with his figure of 2million. We are in the early
throws of building a new squad and when the transfer fees and signing on fees are added together we will not be far short of that figure.
It's a bit slow at present, a few weeks ago we were full of optimism what's changed?. We can be assured I'm sure that Mr Wilder and Co will be
working hard to bring players in as well as getting rid of one's we don't want.
Think the novelty's wearing off a bit...

no u turn , just pointing the negatories would say if we sold players for 4m nothing would go to the managerAlready gone from"Pre-Season" to "This season" then? As king of the U-turn, you'll be changing your tune all the way through and denying you ever said it in the first place. I'll give it a miss thanks, spend your £50 on some big telly accessories![]()
Worth comparing with transfer activity at other Division Three clubs? -
Bolton - no signings yet
Walsall - no signings yet
Gillingham - one signing (Mark Byrne, free transfer from Newport)
Charlton - one signing (youngster Louis Yamfam, £40k from Stevenage)
MK Dons - no signings yet
Coventry - one signing (Jodi Jones, undisclosed from Dagenham & Redbridge)
Scunthorpe - no signings yet
Bradford - no signings yet
Rochdale - one signing (Neill Canavan, free transfer from Scunthorpe)
Millwall - one signing (David Worrall, free transfer from Southend)
Port Vale - no signings yet
Can't guarantee the accuracy of this - just a quick trawl on the net for each club. But seems to have been very little activity amongst last season's top half sides and those relegated from the division above.
Far too soon to be panicking.
I very much agree that there's no need to panic.
But I would point out that as far as I'm aware none of the other clubs in this division released 10 players and transfer listed 7. Plenty of time yet and I'm still optimistic, but comparisons against other clubs don't tell the whole story because we really are building our squad from scratch.
Couple more in by the time their back for preseason (with at least 1 centre back) and I'll be pretty relaxed though![]()
but surely that breaks the we dont give managers any money theory
You're right but there are only so many players available, or at least quality players that are willing to play in this league and that we can physically afford.Worth comparing with transfer activity at other Division Three clubs? -

we will spend 2 to 3 million on players , even if we dont sell anyone
if we do sell someone thats money in the bank or some more quality added to the squad
people are expecting too little after Mr S lows lack of activity last season , i EXPECT A MUCH DIFFERENT APPROACH THIS
BUT NOT THIS WEEK AS SOME SEEM TO THINK when they eturn from holiday in 10 days onwards
Only Sheffield United targets go on holiday
