Scougall is contracted for another year. He's one I think Wilder should have a look at as he could yet come good at this level. McNulty falls into this category and perhaps Flynn.
I agree CW should clear out most of the rest whose contract expire next month but he's entitled to see if he can get one or two players back on track. Most new managers manage to do this with some of the players they inherit – Clough with Murphy, for example – although it proved beyond Adkins, who could not motivate anyone. Not one single player, except perhaps Long, made any progress at all under his management.

He probably won't have, as he's had his hands full at Northampton. But they will all be there for him to see on video, and hopefully he's catching up right now.

Incidentally, I know he was born and lives in Sheffield, but was he a fan before he became a player / manager? There's not much on Wiki

He was brought up in Stocksbridge. He said in an interview that he is a big Unitedite.

Used to go to the Lane, with his mates to watch the Blades when he was a kid.

His grandfather had the option to sign for the Blades way back, but chose instead to work in the steel mills of Stocksbridge, as the pay was much higher back then.

How things have changed.

LS26BLADE does have a point, unfortunately he has got nothing better to do than go to the United matches. I'm sure if he had the chance to go Mannu Picchu or spend a full year backpacking round south east Asia he would prefer to do that......
