My mate Andrews in that film. He's in the brewery and tells that crap joke about thinking his wife's dead.

My other half knows Shep, she went through school with him.

Years ago we bumped into him on Fargate. He was doing theatre at the time but said keep an eye out for me on BBC1 next week.

I was on the Kop that day. At half-time, they were filming the penalty scene for WSC. As I recall, there were several takes of the penalty and on each take we were asked to shout and cheer when it went in. Dunno if they just dubbed it over in the end!

Yeah, Sean Bean was shite at pens.

I was at the Man Utd game when they did the filming I think it was the penalty Sean Bean takes and a few other bits. They did the filming at half time. Also the day when they invited fans to come to BL and do more filming there was about few hundred and we had to keep moving seats and filming different parts of the ground to make it look full. At work my mates missus worked for the Jeweller who supplied the rings they used and both Sean Bean and Emily Lloyd were there for the fitting.

I’ve a recollection that they made the decision to rename the film because “A Pint of Bitter” wouldn’t appeal to the American audience. Begs the question of how much WSC (either the title or the film itself) appealed to the Americans.
