So then Blades fans, what's your first and best Blades memories. For me the first has to be beating Manure 2-1 in the F.A cup sat in the old John Street Stand at the age of 7, my best has to be Pesch's goal in the 4-3 win over Forest, so whats yours?

First - I don't recall whether it was against Charlton or Wimbledon, but a 0-0 draw sometime in the '80s was my first game. I was too young and bored witless.

Best - Beating Wendy 3-1 in the distressingly named "Triple Assault" season. The first moment in my lifetime we'd been demonstrably and unarguably a class above them. Michael Brown on the volleeeeeeeeey! Get in.

:)

First game - SUFC 3 Charlton 2. 1980/81 season. Similarly dont remember too much about it.

(My second game was Walsall at home, 0.1, enough said... Remember seeing grown men crying, and later having salad for tea which was almost as dire.)

Best - got to be Leicester away, 5.5.1990. (Blades glory - Owls Down.....)

I was Djing in my local bar in Leicester whilst that game was on. managed to position a TV so it was in view, and went absolutely spastic when that goal went in. The patrons started booing as the next mix wasn't exactly beat matched correctly :)

First memory was Southampton or Arsenal at home 1966. Best memory, either the 5-1 Cardiff home game 1971 or the Watford 3-0 home win when we actually won promotion a week later. Life as a Blade seemed so good then, so optimistic, I was sadly naive. Still enjoy being a Blade though

First memory was sat in the BLUT in 1971 against Hull. LOst two one i think. My dad hardly ever swore but he did that game.

Best memories ?

the 3-1 at the Sty is up there but the one moment for me is Unsworth's winner against Hull. Dramatic, late and I actually believed we were going up

I was at the back of the kop that night. Ref stopped the match after 10 mins got the teams together and warned them about their conduct, kicking lumps off each other. Main culprit seemed to be Chris Simpkin the Hull fullback. Hull went above us after that match and looked odds on for promotion with about 5 games left. I think they lost every game afterwards and imploded. Great days and great memories. We started the following season in the top flight and were unbeaten until October. I thought it would always be like that :)

First memory - Terry Curran's first game at the Lane in some Mickey Mouse cup against Grimsby. We were shit, he was a twat and we lost.

Best memory - Hillsborough 1992. Deano crossing the ball for Whithouse to score and realizing we had nothing to fear here. The evening just got better and better. Leaving the ground singing 'let's all laugh at Wednesday ' before getting embroiled in my first serious lock - in at The Sidings in Dronfield. School the next morning never felt so good.

Best memory? Gotta be Forest in 2003. Simply the best game of football and atmosphere I've ever seen. The fact that it ultimately counted for nothing takes nothing away from it - in the same way that a great FA Cup tie does not diminish 'cos you don't actually win the Cup.

I've been going since the early '60s and, unbelievably there are many outstanding moments. Cardiff 5-1 in 1971, Leicester '89, the last-minute Unsworth goal v. Hull, the cup runs in 93 and 2003 where every game had classic moments. Obviously all the various beatings of Wednesday which seemed important at the time, but now we're established as #1 in Sheffield and have been for well over a decade, they don't seem as important now.:)

Anybody remember that Christmas game at home to Notts County? We won 5-0 and overtook Wendy, who had impudently been just in front of us all season but that win meant normal order was restored.

First memory...... walking to BDTBL rosettes and rattles.
Best memory.......realising TC was going to be a legend.

Didn't we beat Ipswich or Somebody 7-1? I was there but cant rememberer which game.
I remember that TC's first goal for the Blades, I think it was against Spurs.
Watford at home to get promoted in 71.
Mick Jones barging Northampton's keeper in to back of the net and goal being given, was around 65 I think.
Tc's great goal that was on Match of the Day. "A quality goal from a quality player".
And Tony Fields solo effort at the lane, cant remember the year.

5. Tc's great goal that was on Match of the Day. "A quality goal from a quality player" - 22/3/75 v West Ham - won 3-2 - Currie 2, Woodward.
6. And Tony Fields solo effort at the lane, cant remember the year - v Ipswich 31/8/74 - Mills (og), Field 2

Cheers Darren. Funnily enough I can remember the name of the Northampton goalkeeper. His name was Coe.

Another game I remember was against Newcastle. Maybe late 60's early 70's. We were losing at home 2-0 I think, could have been 2-1, with 5 mins to go and won 3-2. Walked home to Park Hill the happiest man in the world. :)

November 1965. Blades were losing 2-1 in the final minutes. We equalised and then almost straight from the restart Tony Wagstaff got the winner

I remember that , way back in 2011, ah memories

I enjoyed a 2-2 draw at Molyneux that both clubs got promoted with
They only had 1 new stand open and an open end with its roof removed , split down the middle with home and away fans

and we came back to lead for a bit was a cracking game full of great play

First memory - beating Liverpool in the League Cup

Best memory - I'm hoping I haven't had it yet

1978? What a night that was. Stood on th kop, expecting a thrashing. In those days Liverpool were like the ManUre of today, all the weak minded with low self respect supported them. School in the morning was sweet.
