If any new manager gives these lot another 'clean slate' he deserves fucking sacking as well.

And that is the problem not just at this club, but modern football in general. "It's not what we want, sack 'em!" or there is the other "It is what we wanted, but not any more.. Sack 'em!"

He's had all in today by all accounts.
Asked them each a simple question.

Spell "Endeavour"....

TVSports Channel headlining news......

Sheffield United today let go of 35 full time professionals, the assistant manager, the physio, coaches, stewards from all areas (Now in Phase 5 mode), the match day Pie Sellers and most surprisingly, the manager.

No one had a clue what the word meant or if it even existed outwith BDTBL.

Brian Thackeray has fainted.

Can the last perosn leave Shirecliffe please turn out the lights.

Oops, wrong Thackray!!

It might be that things are being done in reverse order to your suggestion.

He's not going to do his cliches in reverse order surely, poor sods, they will have resigned before he's started.

Or is this some kind of reverse osmosis management theory gleaned from the local geese in Endcliffe Park?

In telling the fuckers to sling their hooks?

Things will go at a snails pace LS, don't fall into the usual bladeybladness trap at this time of year and expect some level of urgency to preparing for the following season. We will just do the same old same old rhetoric and snails pace actions.

The club need to come out ASAP and confirm that Long has been offered a new deal but the rest will be released, before getting on with deciding Adkins' future. This should all be done in the next week.

This all should have been done by 5pm yesterday.

How many times have we heard Adkins say we have planned for every eventuality? Well the most obvious one was that promotion wouldnt be achieved.

The players (I hope to fuck there are alot of them) should have been told yesterday, by phone or pre-planned meeting and official press release after.

But SUFC are again dragging their feet when the have the opportunity to give us all just a smidgen of comfort.

After the match on Sunday I was pissed off, but that interview which I heard later has removed any slack I was willing to cut the club.

It is annoying that they haven't all been told to go yet. This club takes fucking ages to do anything

Although I want him to go this is probably the last olive branch to the fans and for him to give a show that he knows what is needed.

- all out of contract players released except Long who has now signed a long term deal.

- Coutts, Woolford, Freeman, Scougall, McNulty all made available for transfer.

(Though the latter two could still be assets in the right circumstances)

What would really demoralise would be Long and Flynn, McEveley and McGahey offered fresh terms. Hammond considering a player coaching role. Nobody listed.

That really would seal us writing off next year before it started.

When Warnock got stick against Millwall at home, he really wielded the axe and brought the right characters in. I just don't see Adkins as being decisive enough to do what needs to be done.

Hasn't anybody visualised the one on one meeting in thier head, ?

Adkins sits across the table with a glass half full and a box of cleenex in hand, going all gushy at the way the (insert name) player has shown Endeavor and had a right go, then gone again the following week.....

He's probably sat with that maniac like grin across his face renewing them all for thier unseen work which us daft set of twats don't see over 90 minutes, let alone the full season..

I expect Adkins to set us further back than clough...the delay is telling..

If we don't waste as much of the Summer as possible we won't be able to reassure the fans that we've been patient, done our due diligence, are eager for success, and not to worry as you only need to be in and around the top six at Christmas where we can strengthen as needed.

You missed one - and how (insert name) player comes into training every day.

Like its some sort of achievement, showing up for work!

Hasn't he said he's meeting the players this next day or so? Logically we'd announce our retained list after that - end of the week is realistic?

It should take 10 minutes to tell them all; "Next!", "Sorry, your being released", "Next!", ""Sorry, your being released" and so on.

Other clubs have announced yesterday and today, clubs, that like us have known for a few weeks which division they will be in next season.

Not wanting to start any rumours here, but I think if we have no official club announcements regarding players in the next few days it's quite a big clue that they're preparing to sack Big Nige.
