It's going to be exec boxes. If only this had been discussed before somewhere......
A dedicated area for disabled fans to view the action above the height of an ant. Would take many alterations but disabled fans really do get shafted when it comes to football, imo.
Weve sat there a couple of times this season when we've had to move seats due to family & friends wanting to come with us.
It's not as bad as you think. Plus going for a piss is easy as there's no queues...
My only gripe would be the lack of free Pukka Pies. Think there's a gimmick there and them and the club are missing a trick!
Was just thinking this as well.
I’ve never sat in there, so dont know if the accessibility would be up to it but how about making it a designated older supporters section as well? Somewhere thats got plenty of space and no crushing to get out, etc so some of the older fans can get in and out without feeling rushed or intimidated. Maybe have a few volunteers in there to help out.
I know a few 70+ Blades who dont go anymore purely because they dont like the crush and rushing about. If they knew they could go and avoid that, plus easy access to the bog and a cup of tea I’m sure theyd go.

Executive boxes eh?
Well at least we'll still get to keep the 'Today's Cunts' sign from my original plan.
It would be good if they could make it a section for disabled fans. The front of the Westfield Corner would also be suitable. They should have a better option than watching games from pitch level. Even at grounds where they have disabled areas higher in the stand, their view can still be blocked if people in front simply stand up. It's something that needs more consideration in football. No excuses.
Spot on. I should imagine it boils down to cost at every club. Getting disabled supporters to a higher level means some kind of lift and, therefore, needs some planning and thought.
Most clubs just want to save the bother and just put them in at ground level with easy access but a, subsequently, worse view.
As you say, "no excuses" in this day and age.
Put a big exit ramp in. Who doesn't like whizzing downhill at speed?Yours and Ricky's suggestions are, although with good intentions, a non-starter. The issue is not with getting disabled people in, it's getting them out in case of emergency. I think there is some kind of limit on the evacuation time and the necessity of lifts, stairs plus the restricted mobility of the spectators would make it a disaster waiting to happen.

If only there were other stands to sit inOf course, I've never been on that corner and I've not been on the entire John St stand for 17 years because Sheffield United think it's okay to discriminate against those who don't have children.

It's always going to look like a mismatch due to the difference in rake between the kop and family stand. Once the pillars on the kop are removed it will be OK from a viewing point of view and will increase in popularity as the Westfield corner has done. Some extra boxes at the back will tidy it up and either way, it will still look better than the fucking great hole that existed before it was built.
Could give them one of those sacks as they arrive at the groundOne of those spiral things, never thought of that. Count me in!!
Well I’m 34 so not ready for the Stannah yet but the rest sounds great!!!Fella, the stairs aside it's perfect for you. No queues to get out, easy access, never full so no crush and never a queue for the pisser - in fact it's a couple of Stannah stair lifts away from being perfect!!
But the Westfield Corner/South Stand managed the difference in rake OK, without:
