Now I still don't think we will get relegated as I belive Weir will be gone In a month or so and any half decent manager should be able to get a mid table finish from this squad.

However,if the board delays longer still believing Weir will find the solution then it is possible that it could be to late to turn things around then what would It mean for the clubs future if we went down to League 2?

Obviously there would be the drop in income from TV money (don't know how much difference that is between League one and Two) a significant drop in season ticket sales, although pay on the day fans may start to increase if we were doing well in the League table.

What really would worry me is the reaction of the Prince and his team, they are here to raise their profile and eventually make money, they would not want to be associated very long with a team in League 2 and I wonder if they would look to jump ship. Now I know McCabe has told us there is a legal agreement in place but I assure you there is always a get out in these things and McCabe has been "economical" with the full facts on other occasions, for instance telling us Kyle Walker was here on a season long loan but neglecting to inform us (or it seems the manager) that Spurs had a 24 hour recall hidden In the contract.

Bassiclly we must not be relegated and that is the driving reason that Weir cannot be given the indefinite time a lot seem to be willing to see.

1 - We would be fucked
2- We would again be a laughing stock , in football terms . To our pig neighbours
3- A finacial disaster
4- We think were in the wilderness in this league , god forbid the worst was to happen again , ie relegation to the 4th div.
5- thank fook it aint going to happen though .:(

As we thought we would would quickly bounce out of division three, who's to say we would ever be able to exit Div 4 upwards. It seems we quickly "cut our cloth" and sink to the level of the division we're in.

No worries, a few weeks before relegation is confirmed threads will start popping up saying how a fresh start and a clean slate will do us good, how last time we played in the Fourth we swept to a glorious championship, how it will be a chance to get rid of all the dead wood and build an exciting, attacking team based around our youngsters.

You know, exactly what was said when we got relegated to this league.

A bit like going to war, no one ever can be sure of the consequences.

if it ever happened,i think the lane should be flattened and replaced with a much needed mosque for the area.

The consequences would be clear - we'd be in the bottom tier of the game. No doubt we'd survive. In the same way as if I'd put my balls in a vice I'd survive.

No we wouldn't. There's the Conference National, the Conference North, the Northern Premier League etc etc. Remember it doesn't matter how low we fall as long as we play the correct way....

It's the ethos thing we should concentrate on.......

Well the most obvious consequences are:

It takes us at least 1 extra season to get back to a more natural level for a club of our size
It only takes failure to get promotion a couple and a steady stream of players leaving, to leave us staring at relegation to the conference.

None of this relegate and come back stronger bollocks. Thats only worked twice in 33 years for SUFC, every other time we have stagnated, or dropped like a stone.

We are already the lowest team in South Yorkshire.

If we get relegated and Chesterfield get promoted we'd be the worst team in the region.

Doesn't bear thinking about................

I'd visit some new grounds if we did. Of course not a reason to hope for relegation but this is probably the only highlight of being where we currently are.

Doesnt bear thinking about. Relegation is not an option.

True - it's a direct extrapolation of the form and results to date.

Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Those of us who have been around a while can smell it, believe me.
