A lot is made of the fact that some of the more established Championship clubs have spent millions on players, people seem to think this makes us a smaller club that will " struggle at this level" with some saying that we'd "go straight back down". Whilst most Blades thought that we wouldn't struggle, the general consensus seemed to be that we'd finish mid-table. Yes it's early days but given what's we've seen so far does it matter that our players didn't cost much surely it matters more what they're worth?
How much would it cost to buy proven championship midfielders good as, Duffy, Fleck and Coutts? How much will Brooks be worth at the end of the season?
How much for a proven Championship Striker, Sharp looks like one to me.
Derby brought on a £7million player from the bench, to be fair he looked alright but Coutts, a Derby fringe player three or four years ago ran the midfield. Brilliant performance today, not just Coutts but all over the park
I think this squad, under Wilder is good enough to more than compete. Do we really need to spend millions. On the evidence so far I'm happy with players that want to play at a higher level and have something to prove.
Top half or maybe, just maybe 6th.
