I agree with Mcb but that's where the creativity we need comes in. Mousse I dont think will ever change which is a shame heard some story he was doing donuts in his lambo at training thats why him and Chris have fell out. F knows how true that is, but we seriously need to improve up top or we will be in for a tough season, which I feel we will be anyway. This season has surpassed all expectations and I've loved every minute but let's not let that ditract fro the fact we really are punching and need massive improvement next season cos it ain't gonna be like this.

The subs I did find quite odd and not for the first time.

He could have waited to take McBurnie off as he and Sharp were doing alright on the counter in the first half. That said no one seemed to want to pass the ball to McBurnie to tap a goal in when he was in space in the box.

I would have brought Norwood on sooner once Berge was starting to tire a bit in the second half. Or kept Berge on and taken Lunny off.

That said the bench today showed why we need to improve our squad depth, we don't have enough game changers on there.

Does anybody find it a little worrying that we don’t seem to bring through any youngsters anymore e.g Kyle Walker, Jags, Aaron Ramsdale? Will the improvement to the Academy facilities attract talented and promising young uns? Fucked if I know but I do find it strange.

We’ll always struggle to bring through players of that calibrate while we aren’t Category 1 rated. Many other clubs in the same boat.

We dont need to spend that much money to find them. Just need to find one or two with potential, look at the teams going down for a start. Not talking about spending for a ready made striker need to use their guile to find one. Thats what Sheffield United does best, find a rough diamond and polishing it. Just so happens a couple of big spends this last season didnt go quite to plan !

There is meant to be an 16 or 18 year old "wonder kid" coming through that a few of the bigger clubs have already spotted. I`m sure it was mentioned on one of CW's recent non match interviews and the interviewer asked if he would be played today and CW wanted to keep him under wraps and protect him a bit longer but wouldnt be surprised if we see him next year.

Not really, that's largely down to our rapid improvement on the pitch. The youth system is always going to lag behind when that happens.

Whilst it's clear to see also, that the 'i won't listen to anything bad being said about our team' melons are also out in force again tonight.

Perhaps some middle ground is what is required.

We have had a FANTASTIC season. Everyone knows that. We'll done to CW and the lads. Unbelieveable.

However it is permitted to raise questions and concerns about how toothless we usually look up front. We are ranked bottom of the league for chances created. That tells its own story. We need to improve up top and improve our attacking prowess. I guarantee that CW will also think this too. Is he a melon too?

Certainly not !
Not only does he think it , he's said it loud & clear in public several times recently , and he's not saying it to you & me , he's saying it to the Club.
"I need some strikers" (or else).
Whilst some fans on other threads want us to spend money on construction projects at the Lane , I hope the Club backs CW instead.
Whether it's transfer fees or loan fees or wages , we need strikers & creative players who will also run with the ball. They all need to be FASTER in thought & deed than what we have now + they need to be starting 11 quality.
Oh , and we need Hendo back or an equivalent replacement.
And an understudy for Bash.
And competition for George & Enda.
I always listen very carefully to CW + my take is that he's in the market for such players , even if it means moving some players on to raise cash or free up wages.
I fully expect 7 or 8 new faces and his intention will be that they are closer to the 18 if not the 11 than the following players have been :

Bryan
K Freeman
Jags
Rodwell
L Freeman
C Robinson
Clarke.
He may even move some of the following if they don't wake their ideas up :
