Yup, they’ve not fired us to 9th in PL and with less money to spend next year we should sign 5 new strikers
Exactly what I'm talking about, take off those glasses pal.

I say different.
With the right quality of crosses McB will score and maybe Mousset will be back to his early season form.
YES we need two more to compliment them.
I agree with Mcb but that's where the creativity we need comes in. Mousse I dont think will ever change which is a shame heard some story he was doing donuts in his lambo at training thats why him and Chris have fell out. F knows how true that is, but we seriously need to improve up top or we will be in for a tough season, which I feel we will be anyway. This season has surpassed all expectations and I've loved every minute but let's not let that ditract fro the fact we really are punching and need massive improvement next season cos it ain't gonna be like this.

I think Wilder will address what we are missing somehow with whatever funds he has, and for me that is pace and creativity. Nothing drastic needs to happen in my opinion just a couple maybe 3 players who instantly improve the team. I thought that Redmond was brilliant today...can we have him?

Still not sure why we need a whole new strike force when the ones that play in our team who only score off the service they receive should be ditched for 5 new strikes. All who will need bedding in. Non of those 5 will 20 goal a season proven premier league quality. Don’t forget to shake off properly once you’ve finished wetting bed

McBurnie and Sharp off
Zivgo whatsit and Clarke on
What the fucking fuck?

Think it was in the Ts & Cs of the competition that you have to give the winner a minimum amount of minutes.

Zivkovic will be happy, hope he doesn't enter next season.

We need a whole new strike force next season, anybody who say different needs to take off there rose tinted glasses!
100% nail on the head the commentators even pointed out the stats that we were 20th for shots on target.

What has served us so well this season is that for the vast majority of games before lockdown we were excellent defensively and that's what has helped us achieve a top 10 finish.

McBurnie was tremendous in the first half, we were noticeably a lot poorer once he went off.

We really need strikers especially a double digit goalscorer.
We need a good creative attacker who will run at the opposition.
If we keep our back 4 Great.

Our main two issues are creating and finishing our chances off.

I think Eze Demerai Gray Redmond those types of players would be perfect for us.

Id agree, adding creativity would be one of my priorities. But the focus seems to be on the strikers ,when id much rather focus further down the pitch, as you suggest.

Totally agree in terms of comments relating to lacking any kind of creative flair. We play a system that gets 110% out of half decent players. To make the step up we need that individual flair and quality. Swift, eze, benhrama etc.

I see all the melons are out in force when we lose a game again...

nothing wrong in being ambitious, just want us to compete at the highest level possible and compete with the top 10 every year. We will need to make changes to do that. No one is mugging of the season we have had - only highlighting what we need to do to transition to the next stage.

Whilst it's clear to see also, that the 'i won't listen to anything bad being said about our team' melons are also out in force again tonight.

Perhaps some middle ground is what is required.

We have had a FANTASTIC season. Everyone knows that. We'll done to CW and the lads. Unbelieveable.

However it is permitted to raise questions and concerns about how toothless we usually look up front. We are ranked bottom of the league for chances created. That tells its own story. We need to improve up top and improve our attacking prowess. I guarantee that CW will also think this too. Is he a melon too?

True.
But, maybe today, after the season we've had, they could shut the fuck up for a bit?

True.
But, maybe today, after the season we've had, they could shut the fuck up for a bit?

But why should they? People are basically talking about what they think we need for next season and as the season has ended, why not? Like I said previously, we can be really chuffed with the team and be really appreciative of what we have enjoyed this season. But I can also see as clear as the nose on my face what we need to improve on next season. It's fair to raise it imo. CW will also be proud as any fan for this season but he will also be looking to push on. Today was a bit of a dead rubber and I get the 'give it a rest from moaning' shout, but people are allowed to say where we could improve if that's what they think.

I have no problem with anyone giving Utd constructive criticism if it's warranted. What I can't be doing with is where some call for major changes. That's just bollox.

I wouldn’t argue against that at all. But when the first reaction is to throw a hissy fit and stamp your feet it just makes you (not you personally, nor the OP for that matter) look a bit fucking daft and reactionary.

CW obviously wanted to give Zivkovic a run to see what he could do. Leon probably deserved a final farewell. Our lads were bollocksed and some fresh legs could’ve perhaps got us back in a game that had pretty much gone and had nothing riding on it. Yes, it wasn’t the greatest display but perspective is the minimum requirement when taking the whole season into account, they’ve at least earned the right for that.

Where were we for shots in general? We often finish games having had say 8 chances on goal but only manage 1 or 2 on target. Granted many of the chances off target are half chances at best, to that extent the argument would surely be in favour of new players?

Exactly that and apart from Moussett we have no player upfront with any pace and we have no creative midfielders with any pace too it is clear as day what is needed.
Zivkovic seems a bit nippy and, to be fair, whenever he has been on the pitch we have not played to his strengths.

Good send off for Leon and some sentiment there I think. It would have been great to see him score a premier league goal. Zivkovic didn’t run in behind and show pace and didn’t hold it up which is why the ball kept coming back at us. That will be the last we will of both of them. One a blades legend and one not a footballer.
Badly need pace up front next year but what an amazing season!

Turned it off cant watch this crap. Soft penalty. What a disappointing ending to a superb season. We need some 15-20 goal a season strikers or we are going down next season.

They said it before the match, 3rd best defence, worst strike rate on goal.
And the names of ‘some 15-20 goal a season strikers’ who won’t cost 50 million quid apiece are...?
