We don't want complements, especially from ex-pros riding the media gravy train just a fair playing field.
Afraid I've long since stopped watching MOTD, even now try to catch United's game and that's all. What football programmes, both TV and radio, need is more of the football action, less of the analysis, we can do that on the terraces at work and in the pub. It's the action we need to do our own analysis. Easy way out, not prepared to put themselves on the line like the ex-pros who work for clubs up and down the country.

I'm not Ian Wright's greatest fan, but for once he appeared to have analysed how we play quite well, and he was complimentary in a non-patronising way. As for "Sheffield", I've stopped being bothered. Outside Manchester only Sheffield and Bristol have 2 clubs with the city's name (Nottingham now only has one league club, and they're "Notts" anyway). There are those on here who have routinely referred to Bristol City and Rovers as "Bristol", and the world hasn't ended!
I'm ok about us still being under the radar and underrated.
As for yesterday, we lost, but with a lot of honour and plaudits. We weren't steamrollered, and again it was fine margins, and crazy officialdom, which was the difference. Once Liverpool is out of the way we can kick on and hopefully build on recent results- January is less scary than it once appeared.
I used to love the BBC, but it's news and football coverage seems to be more about "saying the right thing" than about honest and neutral reporting.

What we need to ask ourselves is if the ref had broken up a Man City move like he did ours, would he have blown? I for one think he would it's just refs think it's only Sheffield!! I'd have just sooner lost to De Brunye's goal at least it had a bit of style to it.

As For VAR what they should say is if the feet are onside goal stands, fuck armpits, cocks, toenails, noses and the like it's killing our beautiful game.

There wasn't any controversy, was there? All we saw of Mousset's goal were a misaligned, distanced shot of him seemingly level with their defender, some vague lines drawn, and certainly no in depth scrutiny afforded the likes of Wolves's goal (which was equally ridiculous in it's interpretation and execution) So 'it obviously wasn't a goal' was it?. Never mind the lino never raised his flag (and he was ten metres away from where Mousset was), and no one has offered that v Newcastle, the lino did raise his flag and we were victims of officials fucking it up and influencing the outcome, again. Whilst on that subject, it's now forgotten that Fleck would have controlled that ball, had it not been for the ref.
