It seems we have two or three players back so we might have some options for a change. Having said that I am hearing Connolly and Simonsen are due to go back. Assuming they aren’t available I would go with the following;

GK: Ian Bennett
RB: Nyron Nosworthy
CB: Chris Morgan
CB: Marcel Seip
LB: Derek Geary
RM: Glen Little
CM: Nick Montgomery
CM: Lee Williamson
LM: Stephen Quinn
ST: Darius Henderson
ST: Richard Cresswell

Subs: Aksalu, Lowton, Naysmith, Taylor, Bartley, Harper, Yeates,

I wanted to say Andy Taylor at left back for a bit of continuity but then I thought of Jermaine Johnson (who is always up for it against us) and I can’t imagine anything other than Taylor getting ragged by him. Seems a little early for Del but even a half ready Geary would fare better in that dual IMO.

Glen Little has to play IMO. He will give their left back (Spurr I believe?) plenty to think about. Stephen Quinn has picked up a little lately and knows what the derby is all about so he should play. I would guess this is too early for Naysmith.

Any advance on that anyone?????

I think your team is pretty much what it will be apart from Taylor and Harper for Geary and Williamson.

Not much to pick from, so not drastically different to yours Lou, but i'd go with a more settled back 5 but with the forced changes if Connelly and Simonsen are unavailable.

Any idea if any of the injured players are likely to be back. Is Ched anywhere near fit? I can't remember what his injury was

Ched's out for the season mate

I think he should keep it unchanged from Saturday, we looked solid and played some decent stuff, obviously that hinges on the availability of Simonsen and Connolly!

I thought Johnson played down the left??? I'd go with Geary at RB and taylor left, taylor had a good game at the lane. Other than that i think thats all we have.

Thats what they said initially but he started training again a couple of weeks ago. They said he has a chance of playing again before the end of the season. Don't think he will be ready for the derby though.

Didn't realise that Lou, good news though, I have every faith he will shine for us next season!

I think we need to concede the play offs are gone now despite Saturdays win, so beat the pigs on Sunday, then experiment a little in the last two games, give some of the kids a go, i.e. Lowton and Roe

Have we actually got any fit players to make an eleven?

What's the score with Simmonsen? Have we managed to sort something out. His loan spell ends on Thursday and I thought I'd heard somewhere that Ells/blackie are trying to sort something with Stoke so he can remain? Strange tho, the window is closed. Are we to presume that a gk has special dispensation similar to an emergency loan?

this will never happen, so it is pointless me saying this really! but i would go with bartley over Nozza. I find Nyron comical, i think hes dopey and very entertaining to watch and therefore hes a big reason i am still attending games. however, in a game such as sunday i have already dreamt of him making a mistake in the last minute trying his cruyff turn and getting unstuck! the guy really worries me!

Also, Williamson over Harper as well. I am a fan of Williamson, think hes done quite well.

i saw quinn go down just before he was taken off on saturday holding his ankle, then signal the bench. havent heard anything about an injury though

He did go straight down the tunnel when he came off.

He was definately injured, heard nothing about the prognosis though.

Anyone else notice him having a go back at a bloke stood laying into him on the John Street again?

The personal stuff is getting all too common, and if we want to successfully keep players on a lower budget needs cutting out, whatever you think to the player in question.
