A chocolate tea pot, a nugget for a shin kicking contest and trainers for Stephen Hawking. All about as useful as him and none of it worked so he got flogged it off to Scotland.

Anything else?

I don’t know either.

Him being an absolute disaster at Hearts was a joy to watch after the misery he caused at the Lane. 1 goal since he signed for them. 1. Currently picking splinters out his arse on loan at Partick Thistle.

Shocking player.

According to his Wikipedia page he's scored 59 in 369 professional appearances, roughly 1 in 6 or 8 goals per season.
Perhaps he should change the spelling of his name to Conner (as in someone who cons)

Sure it was Clough jr who brought him over to Derby from Ireland, its all his fault he graced the turf with his talent over here..

Might end up at Burton in league 1 when Non League Nige starts signing up his gems again.

Not sure what he bought...but he definately brought a lot of groans...and a lot of bad language from my good self when I used to watch the useless lump of shit nonchalantly mooching round the pitch doing absolutely fuk all and looking disinterested for his ample weekly wage.

A monstrousity of a so called football player. How he has made a very lucrative living out of playing football for a living with his total lack of footballing ability is a question that will remain unanswered for eternity. He must have got one hell of an agent or some serious blackmailing material.

I seem to recall a song being sung quite loudly 'feed the fish and he will score' not long after he arrived and he scored a few goals.
I also recall talk of our own SAS, very brielfy.

Not saying he was good, he clearly wasn't but I really have seen worse in a Blades shirt and unless I imagined all of the above then I suspect others have as well.

Glad we talk of him in the past tense either way.

The key phrase in your post being 'not long after he arrived'. About ten minutes after that it became abundantly clear that we had been done up like a kipper by Derby and he was in fact total bollox. But not just bollox either....he had a lazy couldn't be arsed streak thrown in just for good measure.

Largely agree, although I think his honeymoon period lasted a bit longer, albeit not by much. What really used to piss me off was his inability/refusal to challenge for a header. Maybe he knew something the rest of us didn't then about brain damage?

That goal tally is massively boosted by one solitary wonder season he had at Kilmarnock when he scored 17.

Remove that and his average drops to a goal tally a central defender would be ashamed of.

Some coal........fuck all

Told you all he was shite , as soon as it was rumoured he was joining us ,
and even before he donned our sacred shirt ,
He used to get called up for the Irish squad , and play as a sub under Crapatoni
Jesus wept .

He's as much chance of coming back to League 1 as i have. He can't even cut it in the Shooting Fish in a Barrel league.

I don't think he was always the utter abomination of a footballer he is today.

I think he just made his money at Wigan and Derby then stopped giving a fuck.

On the nine o'clock news tonight, Police have questioned this man earlier about steeling wages from various football clubs, currently living in Glasgow he responded to the questions with well if Jay McEveley and Andrew Taylor can do it why cant I?

the football governing body as put out warning to all clubs "he is a danger to the football league and approach at your own risk, he simply could not hit a barn door with an over size beach ball, you would be better off signing Ali Dia at least he would provide a little comedy value!"

He was. His one good season was almost entirely down to Killie having an exceptional playmaker, Alexi Eremenko, on loan that season. Sammon’s goals were handed to him on a plate.

Utter garbage.

Ali Dia? Fucks sake, even Ali Baba would have been better

I swear I used to see him running about a bit and at least being a bit of a menace to defenders.

He also showed flashes of not being totally shit at Peterborough.

I remember the end of that game, we were chanting his song and the look on his face said "don't expect much more of this".

Saw him a couple of times for Derby and he was technically crap but ran around a lot and caused defenders problems with his sheer enthusiasm and physicality. If he's lost confidence and lost his enthusiasm he doesn't have much to fall back on.

A mildly amusing song against Fleetwood, something about preferring Salmon to Cod.
