I've done mine in the warm up before - well not warmed up at all or had time to stretch.
Pre match - just on the field, a lad sent me a pass a bit wayward an shouted my name so instinctively I lifted a leg to trap the ball and bang, hammy gone, 6 weeks out
Scored 6 in a match the week before so I was gutted
It's a horrible injury. Nothing you can do for six weeks except try that ultrasound bollocks. Try to come back too early and it goes again.
