What happened after the game?

It kicked off in the South Stand concorse after the game when a group of lads chased and attacked someone. Could have been quite nasty but people stepped in to protect him. The lads claimed he'd just jumped an old man outside.

Walking out onto Bramall Lane there was someone on the floor being attended to, but he didn't look particularly old so that was presumably a different incident.

Can anyone shed any more light on what happened?

Some lad came running out of the South Stand on to Bramall Lane and got apprehended by some stewards and fellow fans. There was also someone sparked out on cherry Street who required ambulance assistance. No clue to as to what happened though.

Ruckus outside on the corner of cherry street/ Bramall Lane. Some young wannabe Preston fans shouting, where’s your BBC, then some old skinhead blade fans took exception to it. Had a bit of a scrap with them and one blade got knocked out. The rest chased them down cherry street and the Preston fans ran on to the south stand, I lost sight of them after that.

Watched stewards lose grip on one lad and some Blades grabbed him. He was the one on the floor, presumably Preston.

They had another held next to burger van. Coppers eventually came and cleared them up.

Bloke told me some Preston had cone into the South Stand. Sounds like they ran in their for cover then.

Didn't see that mate but if those outside who got apprehended were some of those who came into the South looking for it then give me strength.

Without wanting to sound like a violence advocate my 12 year old could have put up a fight with those I saw.

I don't know whether to acknowledge their bollocks for doing it, or be embarrassed that they got to take the piss like that. They were about 5 foot 9 and 10 stone wet through.

I think that’s my left shoulder,the person has took the photograph over. Unfortunatly it 30 year old somethings against 60 year old somethings, only going to end up one way for fella on the floor.Not long after this they ran off.
