What Chances Now of Hull Game Being ON

I think hull will go ahead but as we all know that can change in a heartbeat. Im just believing it will

Worried for the fixture list due to know fault of our own. If Hull and say Middlesbrough get cancelled fitting four games into a schedule that is already fairly cramped will be difficult on the players. What annoys me more is that the teams we play may have a less disrupted schedule and have an upper hand they wouldn’t have has otherwise. Hull being off is likely.

I don't know the maths but if he's been in contact with the players inside I am pretty sure it will spread..

Guess we will have more of a idea boxing day

Agree….think it will depend how many major injuries they pick up against Blackburn.
Surely it’s open to abuse when clubs can postpone games a few hours before a match.
100 % pal. One things for sure you don't need a manager to play a football match. Because managers got COVID we can't play Sheffield United that's a load of bollox as we all know

I think everyone will be in the same boat. Lots of teams are already 2 games behind and you'd think it would sweep through other clubs eventually even if restrictions are brought in.

I think there is a case for insisting that in any request for a postponement, only the vaccinated squad members affected by COVID should be classed as ‘unavailable’. All unvaccinated players should be replaced by any available signed player and the fixture should go ahead If numbers permit.

While we’re at it, any players unavailable through injury for a COVID postponed match, should not be eligible for selection in the rearranged fixture. 😤

How does that work if clubs have players issolating, they will get postponed/cancelled just like they are now.
In general, I've got a feeling it will end up like last season, behind closed doors, so it will pretty much "work", exactly like it did before.

I've got a feeling we will be in lockdown anyway, games back behind closed doors.
Unfortunately pal I have to agree. Be back to buying now TV passes sky sports and all that bollox especially if pubs are closed again. Horrible especially seeing as we have been back for last 4 months.

Unless theres a way that you can watch every match for free, well, sort of..............

I’ve heard from someone ITK at Hull City, the games off, COVID 😤
At the moment it seems that the Hull v Blackburn match is still on. Maybe the number of COVID cases at Hull is minimal and I see that their game is being shown live on Sky which the home team will get a big fee. I would find it suspicious if they play tomorrow's game and then request postponement of the Bramall Lane fixture.

I'm not sure how anyone can say the Hull game is off when they have a game currently going ahead tomorrow.

However, there is definitely merit in the fact a team with a number of cases may get through one game but not another after it.

Happened loads in the NBA last few weeks where a team had 3 or 4 out but had enough to play but then the 3 or 4 became 6 or 7 and the next game was postponed

Quite simply the fact they have a number of cases in the camp NOW (but not enough to postpone tomorrow) and more time before others may test positive if exposed to same personnel + a game tomorrow mixing with another team means a team playing next few days is maybe more susceptible to postpone the next than one not playing (if its other team with covid in the camp that has postponed).

I might be a lone voice but I don't buy all this conspiracy theory in teams deciding not to play?

There's tons of games off and covid is rife up and down the country.

Tomorrow there's over half of the games off in the entire country. The EPL/EFL will need to see documentation regarding positive tests. I'm not sure teams just phone in and say we are not playing and the leagues say OK that's fine.

Don't get what PNE or Hull get out of postponing also? It's just another fixture in an already congested fixture list if they have to re-arrange. PNE also would get a big Boxing Day crowd tomorrow.

i given up the chance of going to hull game. as if covid doesnt get us then behind closed doors will

@1899 said the game on the 29th is off
Do you believe him? Not sure how someone can say the game is on tomorrow for a team but then not in 4 days without knowing about additional positive covid tests in advance?

Yeah I'm the same. I'll be delighted to get to any sort of game at the Lane in the next few months. If the Hull/Boro game go, then its another month nearly till the next game and by that time there could well be restrictions sadly. Rubbish 😬

I did believe him/her yesterday and when I googled for Hull's news, I found a newspaper article saying that Hull have Covid cases so I included the link in reply to a poster disputing 1889 's post. Today I kept checking for news of the Hull v Blackburn match but no confirmation of postponement so far which got me a bit suspicious of the source at Hull saying that the match on the 29th is off. At the moment many Blackburn fans will be planning on a early start travelling to Hull tomorrow. I agree with you that Hull may have more Covid cases after the Blackburn game.

Am fine with Preston's decision because they would lose more money with them being the home team. Calling off an away game wont cost Hull as much as the home game being selected for Sky main event.

I caught COVID on a Saturday. I was unwell from the Monday. I had mixed with nobody at all from the Saturday to the Monday. I isolated as others had tested positive so it was obviously COVID for me. Didn't show on the lateral flow test until the Thursday.

That's how Hull could in theory be fine now but not tomorrow or the 29th.
