What Chances Now of Hull Game Being ON

It is not only about Covid where teams are required to be able to field 14 players a couple of injuries in the Blackburn game could reduce Hull to less than 14 fit or available players. This is the area where it gets a bit grey + Covid tests can be proven other injuries are not so black and white to prove. A team with their top players injured could easily say more players are physically injured when they would other wise be in the team but otherwise not 100% fit.

Yeah I'm the same. I'll be delighted to get to any sort of game at the Lane in the next few months. If the Hull/Boro game go, then its another month nearly till the next game and by that time there could well be restrictions sadly. Rubbish 😬
In a month we will be out of this in that it will have flatlined
It’s going to impact us over the next 2/3 weeks for sure
Maybe we won’t see a game live in a ground until the end of January at worst

I caught COVID on a Saturday. I was unwell from the Monday. I had mixed with nobody at all from the Saturday to the Monday. I isolated as others had tested positive so it was obviously COVID for me. Didn't show on the lateral flow test until the Thursday.

That's how Hull could in theory be fine now but not tomorrow or the 29th.
Exactly same for me BB , had symptoms from Monday didn’t get a positive result until Xmas Eve

It'll be fine.
Hull...ON
Boro...ON
It'll be us having too many COVID cases then 😬. I think the disruption in football, and wider society is going to peak in the next couple of weeks as people were actually trying to be careful before Christmas. Saying anything will be on right now is setting yourself up for egg on face

Hull game is going to be almost certainly off now.

Unlikely the Hull game will go ahead now and that will be 2 years with no festive fixtures.

If seasonal covid restrictions are here to stay the football leagues across Europe may need to look at a March-November season or some sort of prolonged winter break.

I will win lottery every draw for the rest of time if hull goes ahead.

No reason to be dismissive of 1889 now!

Yes the game will be off now. Hull journalists reporting decision as soon as tomorrow.

The short notice of todays postponement is disgusting though and shows regard for the travelling fans from either side. Surely they has to be a time limit on the day for decisions? Tests done/results come back first thing and EFL informed by 10am at latest?

If 1889 was correct then it is even poorer of Hull if people close to the club are telling people there games are off before they are announced and the game after their next fixture too?

If our game was off as 1889 reported then the Blackburn game would have been off too so should have been announced before today?

Odd that an official or source would release it to a fan but not tell the Football League until 2 hours before kick off. That's not a criticism of you 1889 by the way.

If we are never going to achieve zero covid and every winter case numbers high and hospitals overwhelmed why not have footy March to November?
*if people always have to isolate when they catch covid.

Because hopefully this winter will show that hospitalisations are no higher than pre-Covid and with few very getting seriously ill, the isolation process will be looked at.

We certainly can't continue locking up asymptomatic people or those with a sniffle every year ad infinitum if the virus proves as mild as it appears.

Living with Covid shouldn't mean everywhere is barely sustainable in winter due to isolations going forward.

I’m now free Wednesday night and gonna buy a ticket online. This pretty much guarantees the game will be off. QPR game was postponed hours after I did similar. So make other plans.

What are the rules on Covid now, the Preston game was postponed due to them having covid but their manager presumably a close contact of the players was sat in the stand at Derby the day after the postponement !

If you are double jabbed and turbo'd I don't think you have to isolate for being close to someone with Covid, could be wrong tho.....

I noticed that amazing how they appear to apply the rules as they want to,so is it covid or lets get our injurred players back and then go on

Please don't your jinx it 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

With Hull calling off their Boxing Day game at such short notice I just don't see how they can possible play on Wednesday. How have so many players suddenly come out of isolation.

It's really disappointing as I can't get on New Years Day so will miss CW's return. I'd rather that game was off!!

I think Players would have to be on isolation day 5 or more on Boxing Day and double vaxed to be eligible for tomorrow night.

I think thats what a lot of the Blackburn fans were saying their players it had come out that they had tested positive a while ago so they had known well in advance they wouldnt be playing but called it off 2 hours before the match.

So for tomorrow they either know they will have enough players or are being complete and utter ££$£ and will call it off 2hrs before the match. What annoys me is they should publicly state whats going on why hide whats happening and if so what have they got to hide ?

So for example if Hull is waiting on tests to confirm whether they have enough players in time all they need to state is by this time on this day we will know whether we can go ahead.
