What a steal

Didn't even have a scoreboard on, cunts.
I thought SUTV was bad but the NOWTV bonus stream (AKA sky red button) officially is worse. May have to invest in a “box” or “fire stick” just to get better quality & service in comparison to paid for streams.

Fuck Swansea, they have nothing to play for - they might as well give us 2 extra points

And they've had this coming for years

When I saw it live I thought it was a foul by Brewster on Naughton, but when you see that angle from behind the goal Naughton tries to run across Brewster to obstruct him but then falls over, the ref got it spot on.

In my defence I was watching it live on Sky Red button which is like trying to watch a game through a Stained glass window that hasn’t been cleaned since 1793.
I agree. One of those where you're just expecting a routine free kick on first viewing. He was going for the classic "Slow down a bit and have the player go into the back of me or have to push me aside" but on the replays it's obvious Naughton made a total mess of it.

Really, 94th minute and Naughton should be clearing Brewster out if needs be. Anything but get done there.

I wondered who the incredibly slow defender was who Brewster managed to burn...... Naughton was never quick. Never seen Brewster look like such a pace fucker before

League table looking nice this morning Blades.

Not sure how it could ever be given as a foul? Naughton clearly tried to shoulder-barge Brewster and he faints him? Brewster makes no contact whatsoever, if that’s a foul S2 would of been going crazy last night I’m sure.

In a different game this season, a similar incident will occur and be given as a foul. Both for and against us.

I think defenders think just throw themselves to the ground in the belief the ref will give the foul, given the attacking opportunity it presents.

My favourite one of these ‘fouls’ is the full back in his own corner falling over the ball as the opposing player gets close.

Infuriating as fuck, so glad the ref saw through it tonight
Indeed. It’s a clear sign of how the game has changed that defenders now dive.

And Chris Basham is one of the division’s worst culprits.

You’ll generally get the home or away stream… yesterday was sutv until halftime, second half swans tv and then sutv after

Never a foul on Naughton. If you watch him closely, he is watching Brewster and knows he is going to get done for speed, do deliberately steps across Brewster to try and block him off. Brewdog changes trajectory and moves across him and runs inside him, and Naughton knows he's been done and falls over feighning injury. There was bugger all contact really. Naughton was trying to play the professional defender and was done all ends up. Great pace and play by Brewdog and a lovely well worked goal. Any Swansea fan or manager complaining about our winning goal can kiss my arse. Great goal and all above board.
I don't know what Naughton was thinking
He could have played the ball out before Brewster got there, he stepped across Brewsters path and completely ignored the ball

I couldn’t get red button to work so iPad for me which isn’t the best viewing experience

Being pedantic it was the 95th 😜
bbc said it was 94 , but Im just glad it was around that time , giving then no chance of a comerback

BBC report says
But in the fourth minute of added time, Brewster broke clear - with Swansea appealing in vain for a foul on Kyle Naughton - and squared for Khadra to guide home the winner.

if they say the 90 minutes are up should that be the 91 minutes are up

BBC might be right as I was watching on red button without replays or a timer, the commentator had just said that the added time was up when Basham made the tackle.

It wasn't a result that we deserved given the balance of play throughout the game but its about time we managed a dirty win like that against a bunch who, after playing a bit of passing football under Martinez, seem to thing they're god's gift to the game.

A better team than Swansea would have beaten us last night but for their shit finishing and Anel's goal-saving tackle to save Wes' blushes.

  • R Khadra (90+4'94th minute)
but its confusing when just after it clicks past 94.00 minutes they say its the 95th minute of play when it isnt unless they play the full 60m seconds

if you score after kick off say 35 seconds in you score in the first minute
but they change it to say its a minute later after 90

There is no 94th minute or 95th minute.

If you score just after 90+3 (as in after 02:59) then it's 90+4.

It's the same throughout the match.

If you score after 35 seconds then it's written as 1' because you've scored in the first minute even though a minute hasn't been played yet.

You can't score in the 0th minute, makes no sense.

Watching on SUTV, when the ball hit the net, I looked at the clock and think it was at 3.58/3.59, about as close to the wire as 4 minutes (minimum) of added time could be, although the ref didn’t blow for time then, he let our team celebrate and then when they kicked off, he played on a bit longer. Technically there was no need for any more play, our celebrations happened after the 4 minutes minimum had elapsed.

I’ll let the alice band wearing attention seeking ref off on this occasion 🙂

If you mean Bash is absolutely dreadful at diving then I fully agree.
Whenever he tries it he is absolutely hopeless! Virtually never gets the decision. Looks like a scarecrow being being thrown over a fence, and he never wraps his arm around the opponent’s back or moves his leg in front of him or anything. Just collapses in a heap. It always makes me smile and think ‘just don’t bother next time Bash and play the ball.’

When you consider we have 10/11 players injured that was a brilliant result last night, don't think many other sides in this league could cope with that amount of injuries. Also thought we did well as I felt we looked a bit imbalanced due to the injuries on the left side, but RND was brilliant last night.

It makes perfect sense a bit like when u are born and u are 0 years old until u turn 1 , u are in your first year , then from 1 until 2 u are in your second year, and so on so the queen who was 96 when she died was in her 97th year but she wasn't 97 , minutes work in exactly the same way
