Nothing. I have nothing to say to him. United legend, yes. Not my era though. In fact i've actually walked past him a few times in Sheff. He seems a nice guy. You obviously missed my point. He has nothing to do with this situation at all. You might be stuck in the past grandad, but i'm not. I should be saying to you f*cking Worksop. What a sh*thouse that place is! What's wrong with supporting your local team, Worksop Town? F*ck off to sandy lane you cretin.
Marco, I share your anger but hang on a minute with the insults.
What pisses me off is the way the clappers just take any old rubbish and here I agree with the sentiment you portray but equally one has to be realistic as they try to be, but often turn out too optimistic.
If McCabe is the big boss then frankly he has screwed up SUFC no argument. SUFC as a business has failed big time and this is down to him largely. He employed the managers most of which were poor but they worked under an unrealistic Chairman who appointed the Chief Execs. If SUFC were a trading company like say B&Q or WH Smith we'd have been taken over by Mumbai DIY or Hang Fong stationery or someone. The club's performance has been awful.
As for Blackman it is obvious. He was not a Tony Agana, Brian Deane, Edwards or anything else buy he was one of if not the best we had. By selling him now the club have behaved in a totally pathetic and spineless fashion but they have been true to form. Just happy to play football at BDBL but no interest in winning anything at all anymore , just playing. It may be of course that behind the scenes the club is in such a parlous state (ie buggered financially) that they had to sell him. If so who's fault is that? The fans?
No we are run by a pillock who is the majority share holder and he should sell up and bugger off. The big problem is is there a person of credible stature who loves SUFC so much that they could effectively put a consortium together to take over? Sadly I am not so sure there is. And that is the problem.
This Nigerian guy. Sounds like it was investment by default. Leaving McCabe to make the same old mistakes he has always done. A way of assessing McCabe is this. Ignoring the PL season how much better or worse have we been under his stewardship? At best it is about neutral and at worse it is below that.
He may support the Blades I don't doubt but he is a pretty inept football club owner. And that IMO is why we are we are.
It would not surprise me at all if McCabe and Mandy did a deal to sell BDTBL and Swillsboro and share a new rebuilt stadium at Don Valley capable of holding semi-finals Euro games etc as well as two shite city clubs thinking of better days! And when that doesn't work we'll be merged.
