What a game what an atmosphere!

I am always negative in the middle of games . I can be heard muttering "Bubble has burst/How many points to stay up" in the middle of a game. Going to take a few more season of Wilder to fully get that out of my system

I'm naturally pessimistic. I've been a Blade all my life!

Is this the first time this season we've won after going a goal down?

Yes

I predicted at half time that we would lay siege on their goal 2nd half kicking towards the Kop
And I was still confident we’d win but I also said that we’d lost every game where we conceded first this season.

I thought the team were ok first half and very good second.

I also thought that the fans were very good throughout.

Maybe not as noisy as we could have been in the first half BUT we went a goal down at home and I didn't detect any negativity anywhere, and that represents an even bigger turnaround off the pitch than Wilder has managed to give us on it!

I even suppressed my natural urge to boo them off at half time when we went in a goal down ;)

Thought so. It's good to put that one to bed.

Considering we are third in the league and the players are busting a gut every week, we need to do better if we go a goal down.

It was a bit apathetic in the crowd first half. In no way did we play badly. We were no worse than average, and still created plenty.

Second half in front of the kop was bloody tremendous. :D

Agree. We need to turn the volume up even if it’s a sticky start. BDTBL is a special ground where the atmosphere can win us points. Everyone needs to be “at it” from the start.

I'm not disagreeing with you but two years ago the atmosphere would have toxic when we went a goal down in the first half at home.

We have come a long way from there off the pitch, even if we could still do better.

Agree but we’ve been good for 18 months now. In 5 years time we might be back to being shit again. Enjoy it whilst it lasts.

They were talking about United on the Talksport phone-in as I was driving back up the M1 last night - generally and also in relation to our home record. Paraphrasing Stuart Pearce, he said:

"27 and a half thousand: fantastic"
"Bramall Lane is proper old ground: always a fantastic atmosphere."
"I remember playing there back in the day and the fans get right behind them. You know you're away from home there and it must be fantastic being a home player with that sort of crowd behind you."

Psycho was probably having flashbacks to Bradders flying into him...

I think the REAL atmosphere and best crowd support comes when we are underdogs such as Spurs at home in the cup.
Just now we are almost expecting to beat the likes of Hull, Reading, Ipswich etc and many fans just sit in expectation of something good happening before they get too excited.
It's fairly natural to be fair and it's not just us who do it. All things considered our support is admirable and the envy of many, and will get even better in the near future if the Messiah has anything to do with it.

Name me another team in English football with an atmosphere as good as bdtbl

Every club has times when fans are louder than others

I suggest you go to the ice hockey or the darts
